We're including this in an upcoming episode of Brewing TV (finally!) in fall 2012! Whoop whoop! Jolly, please contact Chip Walton at [email protected] ASAP! (posted 9/12/12) Cheers!

I haven't used the rechargeable dehumidifier that n8dagr8 mentions, but I've thought about getting one. I just get the Damprid-type stuff at Homedepot. Definitely use something, though, otherwise you can easily get rust or mold in there.
@pfgonzo Because we're lazy! :)
We actually will do those on this keezer, as well as adding in a moisture absorber and fixing the temperature controller probe inside so it can't fall out. But I think that might be for another video - we were trying to keep it simple here. I hope it can...
We've got a new how-to video on building a keezer up - thought it might be interesting for anyone looking to build one. I know there are some good posts on here about it as well.

I would agree with wSelwyn - if you cut the bottom of a three-piece airlock it gets very rugged on the bottom. Expect it to be expendable at that point. It's also really annoying to cut!
The best solution for bucket brewers IMHO is Fermcap-S, you just add a few drops and don't have to worry...
Hey Nick,
I've tried the uncapping then recapping thing before, and it didn't work very well. I had a swing-top bottle, so it was a lot easier to uncap and recap. I opened it 5-6 times over the course of two days, and it reduced the carbonation by just a little bit. It introduced a lot of...
We are getting ready for St. Patrick's Day with stout on the brain! For the occasion, Jake and Mike brew two beers. One is a Dry Irish Stout on par with the modern Guinness Draught, which we serve on nitrogen through a stout faucet. The other beer is a Single Stout Porter, based on a beer...

Howdy fellow homebrewers,
Michael Dawson from Northern Brewer (my co-host on Brewing TV and office-mate at Northern Brewer) finally pulled trigger on joining the AHA after being a homebrewer for 17 years! Read his story as to why he waited so long, and why he finally signed up...
Or don't beware, that's cool too. Amber lager is delicious, whether you call it Oktoberfest or Märzen .

With wind chills way into negative territory and a four-foot snowbank at home, Brewing TV hits the road for some fun in the sun. This episode finds Jake, Mike & Chip in the Bay Area of California on a whirlwind tour of some of their homie Jon Weber's favorite craft beer spots. Jon is the...
One beer done two ways. Dawson brews a side-by-side comparison of partial mash vs all-grain. The lucky beer - Northern Brewer's new Surly Bender beer kit, part of the new Pro Series line of beer kits. See how the intermediate brewing method of partial mash (more accurately "mini-mash") benefits...
In November 2010, homebrew guru Jamil Zainasheff broke the news to Brewing TV: he was embarking on the journey of opening a commercial brewery called Heretic Brewing Company in the East Bay area of California. Three months later, the brewery is nearly ready to produce beer. Join Brewing TV as we...
Northern Brewer's good friends over at the The Brewing Network have landed a TV show in the Bay Area! They're currently casting homebrewers for the reality-based TV show. If you live in the Bay Area, look into it. Here's the details from the BN:
Do you love beer? Are you a home brewer or...
