North Carolina E-HERMS Brewtroller Rig (parts)

Yes I would do that. Ill get you a picture of it a bit later, its made for a Coors keg and I slightly modified the edge so that the bubbler tube could pass through it. Ill get you an updated price too when I look at what the shipping would cost.

https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=285862 Here is the link the the old build thread. Is there anybody out there ready to jump into a big E-HERMS project? I know this isn't for everybody because of the work involved but its a heck of a deal! I have over $2k in all of this stuff.

Everything is SOLD (for now) except for the 2 soda kegs!!! Will update if deal falls through. Located in Fuquay Varina, NC I am trying to sell my once pride & joy brew rig (in pieces and incomplete) to a HBT member. I had it in storage since sometime in 2012 , I just cleaned out the storage...

Building a 5 Gallon Mash Tun

@Kennanwt5 Nothing wrong with most brass available these days as it is lead free and will say so on the packaging. Not so sure about that zinc clamp though!

    City Water Report Questions

You're too funny! Forgot to add that this was entered into competition and needed to hit the style as close as possible. I actually ended up scoring in the "very good" range but not good enough to win. I think it needs to be "wicked good" to get a medal.

    City Water Report Questions

I didn't measure the mash pH but I think I read a John palmer article or maybe saw a video where he says higher than 8.0 will require an adjustment.

    City Water Report Questions

I brewed a beer intending on hitting the northern england brown ale style (11C from 2008 BJCP). The beer tasted great, but i was curious if i had started with a water that was even close to correct for the style. I am going to brew it again, but i wanted to know if i should adjust the water...

    Custom Starter Brewing Kit

What kind of thermometer are we talking about, the ones uses in the kitchen? Just trying to get the right kind! Well, ideally you would want one that has a long reach, but i find any digital thermometer with a probe usually about 6" long to work ok for me. I like digital because i can quickly...

    Custom Starter Brewing Kit

it looks like that kit comes with a "recipe" although i am not sure what it is. If you are worried about the quality of the components there, i would advise you not to be. Reason being because a glass vessel is a glass vessel, an airlock is an airlock. I would not worry about cutting corners on...

    Yes! Another bottling question

shaking the bottles every once in a while might make them act a little faster. I did a barleywine and had the same problem... keep them at room temp for while if they aren't already and shake the yeast cake off the bottom and that may speed it up a little. however i am not suprised that you dont...

Element Selection Help for keggle - Spa element

yea your right about the camco's and actually i may have totally been getting this mixed up with something i read about galvanized steel. and i actually have the camco's in my kettles. you are probably fine then to go with that. weldless or welded? i ask because the threads look longer than the...

Element Selection Help for keggle - Spa element

although its brass it looks like it might be plated brass. I think i remember reading that plating of any kind is not good. I would make sure if its plated you know what with. Thermowells close to the element will most definitely read higher than one place say in a keggle 1/2 way up. That is up...

Belgian Blond Ale Revvy's Belgian Blonde (Leffe Clone)

just brewed this BIAB with scaled recipe on beersmith. Hit way over on OG. 1.076. i estimated my boil off a bit low and i was only doing a 1.13 gallon batch anyway. should i add a bit of top off water to get the gravity down or just leave it? i am using wyeast smak pack yeast (about half the bag...

How many gallons of BierMuncher's Centennial Blonde have been brewed?

3486+5=3491. Horrible efficiency... I think i am either losing enough wort in the HERMS coil and plumbing during step mashing to cause a problem, or my hydrometer calibration is off. what are your beers finishing at with the Notty? my first batch went 1.036-1.005. this one is on the same course...
