    Milk Stout

    I'm thinking about making the milk stout recipe that Jamil has in the December issue of BYO. Has anyone made this recipe? Seems like alot of black patent malt to me. Some other milk stout recipes call for a 1/4 of that amount. Just wanted to know what some others think. Thanks

    Southern Cross hops

    How many kegs?

    Can you brew, keg, and store now and dry hop and serve later? That way you would not lose the hop flavor.

    What is your target IBU# in your favorite IPA? I have been playing with the number since I purchased Beersmith. I plugged in some of my older recipes to see where they were. Found all to be extremely high. I'm trying to bring things more into range but love the bitterness. What # do you like?

    Damn Termometer! Should know better.

    Slightly sweetening an IPA?

    Can you add an unfermentable sugar like lactose to an IPA to add sweetness? I've got the beer bitter like I want and the malt is coming through but would like to sweeten it just slightly. Any ideas? Thanks
