Fill it completely with water \ saniter, plug the tube end with your thumb, put the racking cane (hard plastic end) into your beer (not all the way down), remove thumb from other end (at a vertical height below your beer), watch science make magic.
What's with these pumps all having no plug? I guess they're meant to be hardwired? how easy is it to add a plug - probably a simple home depot part?
edit: search function works.
3 prong plug.
Hey guys,
I'm getting ready to turn one of my sankes into a mash tun and I came across this:

The price looks right, was wondering if anyone had any experience with it?
Other thoughts?
Thanks!

Well someone must have stepped up to a HERMES system along the way, leaving behind their less-hardcore all-grain setup......
or is that wishful thinking?
Hey all,
Just got back from an AMAZING "beercation" up in Portland and Bend and I brought home an awesome growler from Deschutes. I'm of course going to use it for my own homebrew, but was wondering if there were any local places (ideally west side?) (bars \ other homebrewers??) that would...
So my CO2 ran out mid-keg... I had it running around 10-12psi. I disconnected it, filled it up, reconnected it, and it instantly shot up to ~25psi. I tried to turn down the regulator and bleed off some pressure, but it wouldn't come down.. what am I doing wrong?
