What are you doing instead of brewing this weekend?

I was mountain biking in Ellicottville NY for my bachelors party... drinking some homebrew. As a result, I need to replenish my supply. We had a little rain overnight Friday night, but it was gone by Saturday morning. If you haven't been to Ellicottville, I recommend checking it out sometime...

    Show us your Kegerator

I have a CPU fan hooked up to a an old cell phone charger that sucks cold air from the keezer up to the beer lines. You can see it in the right corner on this pic. It isn't very powerful, but keeps the beer perfectly cool in the lines and I've never had a foaming issue.

    Show us your Kegerator

I built this around a year ago, but never posted it online. Chest freezer is hidden behind a wall in the basement. 3 tap setup with 4 gas lines, to always have an extra keg on gas. I found some great ideas on this site and while searching the world wide interweb

Thank you for the suggestions. I will cut back the roasted barley from 1 lb to 1/2 lb. I picked up some flaked oats today too, how much would I want to use? Maybe 1/2 lb?

Comments on Double Chocolate Stout Recipe?

I am looking to put together my first all grain batch... I've previously been doing PM for the last year and a half. I want to make a Double Chocolate Stout. I went to my LHBS and one of the guys helped me put this recipe together... without the lactose and cocoa powder. I am guessing at...

Show us your insulated keezer collars!

I know this is bring up an old post... but I'm looking for info on the Azek material. I found it at Home Depot locally, but see nothing regarding its insulating ability. Are there different types of Azek trim? I love the idea because I won't need to worry about moisture, and that it...

AHS Dogfish Head 60 Minute Clone?

I have made a few kits from AHS in the past... and have been pretty happy. I have really only made ones that have had a lot of positive reviews though. Apparently there aren't any reviews for their Dogfish 60 Minute Clone. Has anyone made this before? I'm trying to decide between this and...

    Fruit Extract

I ordered a clone from AHS recently.. just brewed it on Thursday. It came with 3 ounces of apricot extract. I've read good things about their clone, so I would guess it is pretty close to what should be used for 5 gallons.

    GROUP BREW: Strawberry Mead

No updates lately? I still have my 2 separate 1 gallon batches in their primary carboy. I am going to rack them soon but am not sure how much I'll get out of each one. Both of them are about 1/3 filled with seeds and sludge at the bottom, and then have the layer or strawberries on the top...

Kevin, Thanks for the response. I messed up a little in my post (figures...as I was drinking some Pilsner I bottled a few weeks back)... anyways. The S-23 batches are long gone at this point, and I currently have the S-04 batch that I am contemplating what to do with. I want it fairly sweet...
