    BuckWheat Mead

Did you end up making this? If so, how did they come out?

    Honey Brews

No school like the old school... Rocky Racoon's Honey Lager. When I made it, I accidentally doubled the honey and it was really good.

    Recommendations in South FL?

Tequesta Brewing in Tequesta is amazing. It's probably my favorite place down here. It does get crowded on the weekends, though. Civil Society in Jupiter has some incredible New England Style IPAs and is really making a name for themselves. Das Biergarten is a 60 second walk from there and has a...

    Hop forward IPA help

I've made this before and I was really happy with it. It's probably nothing like Nu School, but it has a ton of hop flavor. You can probably leave the flour out of the mash and I think he said that he wouldn't use flaked corn the next time he made it. This recipe has about 50 IBUs from the 60...

    Fruit Extract....again.

Yep. The other folks are right about having more control with the per-bottle additions, but I just add to the keg and stir the crap out of it. What fruit is it?

    Fruit Extract....again.

Nope! There's no reason to secondary when you are just adding fruit extract.

I got the same vibe from them. Bulk grain is pretty cheap there, though.

Florida Palm Beach/Martin County Homebrew Shops

The Funky Buddah Lounge in Boca has grain, yeast, hops and a few basic supplies. Craft beer cartel in Lauderdale is nice. If you happen to be passing through Melbourne, Brocks is pretty inexpensive for bulk grain, hops and is well stocked with supplies.

Brocks. I'm in Palm Beach County, and that's my go to place. Free Florida shipping as well.

    Florida Ft Lauderdale area?

26° is very good as is Bangin' Banjo. Road trip? Hit the Wynwood area maybe? If you are up by Due South, Copperpoint is excellent also.

    Florida active Miami/Ft Lauderdale members

FLAB is in Lauderdale and MASH is in Miami. They are both active clubs and I'm sure you'll meet some great folks. I think FLAB meets at 26 degrees.

    Witbier El Segundo Grado Witbier

I got golds in two different competitions with this beer. Great recipe!

Smack pack didn't fully swell, 15 hours later no activity in fermenter

I've had beers go 24 hours before I saw activity. Especially with an older pack of yeast. If you don't have any backup yeast, I'd just wait and try to not worry to much about it.

    Boca Raton breweries/taprooms

Funky Buddha Lounge (On US1 in Boca, not the big brewery in Ft Lauderdale) is a cool little nano that has some good beers. They had a lychee Berliner last time I was there that was really good. Tap 42 Boca (haven't been there, too fancy lookin') Barrel of Monks (brewery) Biergarten south of...

    Jupiter area club/group

I'm in the Gardens and down for either. There is supposed to be a small group in Jupiter, but I haven't tracked them down yet.
