Upright Keezer, 8 taps, 11 kegs

Sorry, a little late in answering... It isn't Rpints. It is a static html/css file with an XML file used to define the beers. I just edit the XML file data when taps change. Much more lightweight than Rpints (but feature limited as well). I originally built my display on Rpints, but decided...

    Covid Ruins Taste of Beer?

Early in the pandemic (before rapid tests), I would tell everyone that my early warning test was to drink an IPA every day. I figured if my smell or taste was affected that would be the easiest way to tell. I still have not had covid. Maybe a daily IPA is better than a vaccine...hmmm.;)

Upright Keezer, 8 taps, 11 kegs

Here's the internal dimensions of mine: Height: 57.5" Width: 27.25" Depth1: 23.5" (top shelf area) Depth2: 20.25" (bottom shelf area) Depth of door racks: 5.25" The bottom shelf area has a hump in the back that cuts into the depth. On mine, I can fit 5 kegs on the bottom shelf with them in a...

Brewers Hardware, All Stainless, Single Tier, BCS-462, Automated Rig

My suggestion for framing, wind shield and kettle support? I'd do it again exactly the way I have it here. The Brewers Hardware frame works very well for moving the exhaust heat out the back keeping everything up front cool enough to touch/handle.

Yes, those will work just fine.

Upright Keezer, 8 taps, 11 kegs

The only way you might get 12 kegs in is if you remove the door shelves. Otherwise they best you'll do is 5 kegs on the bottom in a staggered configuration. 11 Kegs on mine gets very tight. I also wouldn't give up my door shelves as it's nice to put glasses and bottled beer there.

    RIMS System Schematics

RIMS = Recirculating Infusion Mash System. Not every RIMS system uses a "tube". My setup is a direct-fired RIMS. The MLT does continuous recirculation drawing from the bottom and returning to the top while also firing the burner on/off to maintain the temperature.

Supercharging a natural gas BG14 burner

The SS tube that I run the air into was custom made by Brewers Hardware. Give them a spec and they'll make it! I like to hide wiring, valves, etc. under the diamond plate shelf, so I wanted to do it that way for looks. The pics above from Calgary222 looks to be a pretty simple setup too. One...

Upright Keezer, 8 taps, 11 kegs

That's the same tray I bought for this build six years ago. Price is the same as when I bought, but shipping is now double.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Color is a sunset picture in Huntington Beach! I actually rotate different pics through as the background. No flow meters, no keg database, no overhead! Just edit the XML file when you want to change a beer. That's why I call it the lite beer menu.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

It's been over a year since I posted this up. Not sure how many downloads I've had, but I thought I might post this up again. This is a HTML/XML simple file based beer menu that "looks" like my original 2 column Rpints layout, but it doesn't require PHP or MySQL. It is a quick and easy beer...

Supercharging a natural gas BG14 burner

I'd love to see pics and/or video of the air injection on your stand! I've been using the fans on my HLT and BK for over two years now and it makes such a HUGE difference.

    Which Touchscreen for BCS 462?

I use a full size 1920x1080 touchscreen monitor for my BCS attached to a Raspberry Pi. Prior to dedicating a Pi to it, I was just plugging my laptop in on brew day and using the monitor as a second screen. It's pretty nice to have the BCS as a touchscreen on one monitor while you use the built...

    BCS 460 or....

I do similar to what Namako describes. I know the chill water temp coming into the chiller and monitor the output as well as the kettle temp. This allows me to have a BCS state that does a quick chill to 180, then holds & sounds alarm for a whirlpool addition, then automatically continues...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

This is completely untrue. The BCS does not require any internet connection at all. All screen elements are served up from the BCS.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Brad - take a look at the monitor stand that is with your monitor. I was able to disassemble mine and just attach the mounting plate right to the fridge. It's the least bulky way to attach it and it lifts right off if you need to. Good call on running RPints from Ubuntu. I had done that too...

    Breweries in Long Beach, CA

These are my two favorites. RIIP is literally my neighborhood go-to place and Beachwood is my 1st pick when in downtown Long beach.
