I tried 2 different versions of this powersupply and have not been able to successfully turn the motor. It turns on briefly, then looks like it's shorting the PSU. The light turns off, takes a moment, then turns back on, turns the motor briefly and repeats.

I managed to remove one of the tabs and took it for a test drive, looks like it works much better now. Thanks!

Yes, those are the "tabs" I mentioned I was planning on removing. I think it would be easy enough to do. And agreed, I definitely don't want a 30 gallon kettle tipping over...

Oh, quick question: is there any easy way to attach this without welding it? I'd have to find a welder otherwise and have no idea how I'd move the stand.
