Would willamette fit on this recipe?

Here's my recipe for an american brown ale, and I have some willamette that I'd like to use for aroma. Would 1 oz of willamette work with my dry hop addition of amarillo hops? Any suggestions are welcome. • 7lbs lme • Steeping grains (45 min @ 155) o 8 oz 60l crystal o 8 oz victory o...

    Flavorless Lager

Maybe it was a little soon. Oh well, can't turn back now. We'll see how it goes. Also, I just tried it again and the flavor has improved. Not as watery as I remember. Still a little harsh though, maybe its the hops?

    Dried Apricots in Apricot Ale

Nice and simple for sure. I like it! Is there any reference to IBUs? I'm wondering if Willamette hops would work and how much too use. And would 60L crystal malt be good, or something lighter like 15l?

    Dried Apricots in Apricot Ale

I am in the process of designing a recipe for an apricot ale, but need some help with the apricot part. I'd rather not use flavoring because I don't believe that the production process is a healthy one, and puree is pretty unattainable/expensive so I thought about using dried apricots. Most...

    Flavorless Lager

I'm finishing up college so I have minimal supplies. I'd love to lager in a carboy but have to pack up in 3 months and graduate and there's just not enough space in my car. It is a tad too bitter for my liking, but maybe that will mellow out with carbonation and time? I just wanted a...

    Flavorless Lager

Well I tasted first for the diacytel, and then second to make sure it had diminished after the rest. It's in a bottling bucket right now (secondary fermentation) and I'm taking it out of the spigot at the bottom. Would a half pound of honey help with flavor or body? Or just gravity?

    Flavorless Lager

Hey Guys, First real post. I am halfway through my first lager. It's my own recipe, but I'm still using extract. Here's my recipe. Barley: 5 lbs pilsner LME 8 oz honey malt 4 oz carafoam 1 oz dark crystal malt Hops: 1 oz perle (60 min) 1/2 oz perle (45 min) 1/2 oz perle (30...

Aciduated Malt (acid malt) recipes for a sour American ale?

Likewise...I'm a critic but analysis only goes so far for me. Sometimes you just have to enjoy the good things of a beer, even if you secretly keep in mind the bad things (I know that's the opposite of what a critique is supposed to be)

    Cherry wheat with dried cherries

Okay, good to know. Any suggestions on what is a good amount for a 3 gallon batch? And do I just place the dried cherries in the fermenting bucket?

    Cherry wheat with dried cherries

So I am doing a quick cherry wheat beer that should be ready for Christmas. It's going to be a smaller batch, maybe 3 gallons? I have a 1 1/2 pounds of dried cherries that I'd really like to use, but don't know how to incorporate them. Do I just stir in boil the last 15 minutes, dice and...
