Brewing a batch of Strawberry Blonde for the summer. This is a Kit beer and it came with a bottle of "syrupy" looking strawberry flavoring. Is there any way to substitute this with actual strawberries or should we just use this stuff? If so, how many strawberries should we add to the...

Substituting Specialty Grains with Dry Malt

I am brewing a Strawberry Blonde Kit, and my bloodhound hopped up on the table and ate the 1/2 lb of crystal malt I was supposed to steep. Would it be possible to use some dry crystal malt extract to replace the grains I was supposed to steep? Or should I make the hour long trek to a brewing...

That makes sense how should I find the boil off rate? Is it worth trying to boil that much if I have an electrical stovetop? I live in an apartment and a gas grill would be tough.

I am doing a recipe from Charles Papazian's Joy of Homebrewing. Its called Goat Scrotum Ale, and I let my buddy choose what recipe for us to use (thought the name was funny). I made the Wort today and put it in my primary. I put too much malt extract in there. I put 6 lbs of extract instead...
