The highest it got was 159 according to my PID. I did not test for starch. I am assuming you mean with iodine. Should I pour a sample and let it degass and test it? I have to read up on powdered enzyme, can I use it in a keg of carbonated beer?

You are going to need something to filter the the wort from the grain. Even if you do a long vourlaf, you would just be sucking grain in with out something. I just used my 15" false bottom I got from jaybird for the first time on Monday, it worked like a charm!

It was almost 50* out. Today it is back down to 20*. I was trying to lower the dial but it wasn't reaslly doing anything. I wonder if I got a bad regulator. That I didn't know, but it was filled in November i think.

To be honest, I am not sure. It is the one that was sent with my stand, so I assumed it was the correct one. I will have to check it later. I tried adjusting the knob on the regulator but it did not do anything.

You should use cpvc instead of PVC. PVC is not used for drinking water cpvc is ok for drinking water. On the glue and cleaner, just make sure it says it is ok for cpvc. Many are ok for both PVC and cpvc. Just use cpvc pipe.
