Colorado Brutus-esque Brew Stand For Sale

My hobby interests have shifted to woodworking, so it's time to downsize my brewing gear. For sale is my custom painted steel, dual burner brew stand. The design is based upon the well-known Brutus 10. The burners each have their own control valves (not quite needle-valve-like control...

what is the most "water conserving" method of cooling wort quickly?

I would say that Charlie Bamforth at UC Davis understands the pertinent science far better than anyone on this board and he disagrees with you wholeheartedly.

My square cooler MLT manifold design

Exactly the same concept as the manifold I currently use. The pivot works great for ease of install and removal, though mine sometimes likes to come apart sideways at the pivot. To remedy, I took some bare copper ground wire from a strip of romex and use it as a quasi twist-tie to keep them...

Headed to Colorado/Wyoming and looking for breweries?

If it's this weekend, Bierwerks is having their WinterBier festival on Saturday in Woodland Park. Several CO breweries will have beers there. You just missed the Firkin Rendezvous at Bristol. Also check out Pikes Peak brewery in Monument if you didn't last time.

Did anybody get a malt analysis for the Belgian Pale? Figured I would ask here before emailing them. Wanna get this one plugged into Beersmith.

    Jaybird's Stainless False Bottoms

Jay, does the hop halter have SS screen on the top too? I'm trying to envision how this goes together with the false bottom and dip tube. Any more pics other than the one on your site that could provide a clearer picture? Thanks.

    GF Malted Millet--CO Malting Company

CMC are really great guys. Small operation in a fairly remote area of the state that grows a lot of barley (mostly for Coors). They've always been really supportive of homebrewers and have been willing to participate in many bulk buys over the years. In fact, there's one going on right now...

Pumpkin beers: Discussion, developing recipes, tips tricks, and a good practices

Yep. It's my go-to every fall. I roast two pie pumpkins until well-carmelized, cube one and mash up the other before adding to my mash (along with a crap ton of rice hulls). Mash for 90 min. I toss in the spices 1 min before flameout. Mine's been in the fermentor for 3 weeks now. Just...

    Converting an apartment / dorm-sized 2-door fridge

I did not. The seller ended up getting rid of the fridge before I was able to check it out, so I ended up buying a different one.
