    Definitely check out the Haufbrau Haus in Marienplatz--it is a cultural fixture and one of the oldest breweries in Bavaria. As for the Fest, you definitely want to sit inside one of the tents and experience all of the dancing and music. Good luck and enjoy a litre of good Bavarian fest beer...

    Velotech, do you know of anywhere in the Denver-area to get some bottles on the cheap? I have tried Craig'slist, but no response so far. I may try checking with some restaurants--what do you think/know?

    Well, starting off with an extract recipe, but a little concerned about the room temp. in my house being too hot for fermentation--it is about 80 degrees F. As for LHBS, I got my initial brew kit from Stomp Them Grapes. So for now, I will be using them.
