Announcing the third (or is it the fourth?) annual Masstoberfest

Trying to make it last minute fell through, have fun all and maybe I'll be able to make it next year.

Announcing the third (or is it the fourth?) annual Masstoberfest

This sounds like a good time, I think I'll make the trip down. I won't be brewing, so I'd love to get the wine bottled if you think it's possible. I have a floor corker if a second is needed, I really can't remember where the bottlenecks were during the last bottling.

    Massachusetts group grape buy

Thanks for the update, I'd forgotten how much time had passed. I would love to drop by for a tasting, but spare time is rare right now. My instinctive reaction would be to blend them, but I will bow to the opinions of those who do the tasting.

Thanks again to Paul. I had a great time and really appreciate taking part in this. While I had a good handle on the entire process, it quickly becomes apparent how much of a difference there is between knowing it and doing it.

What time on Sunday? It looks like I'll be free by 11:00 am, then a hour+ drive and I should be there.

    Massachusetts group grape buy

I am going to try and be there. Unfortunately, I have a previous commitment to help some friends move. It should be an easy move, but you never know. After that's done, I'll be driving down.

My manager just canceled my leave request for the 18th. I am a wee bit pissed. My Delaware trip is now questionable and doing anything on Monday is right out. I'll update if things change, but it doesn't look like I'll be able to make it.

I'll see what I can do, the current plans was to be driving back from Delaware that day. If I leave around 6 am, I might be able to get to your place by noon.

    Kaiser's Maerzen-Brew

The beer selection wasn't as good as I hoped, but I grabbed some beer that I've had before and liked. Allagash Curieux, Victoria, and Dogfish Red and White. The only Smutty big beer I could find is the Gravitation, not their best. I'll be bringing a friend, not a homebrewer but has...

    Kaiser's Maerzen-Brew

I am going to try and be there around 9:00. However, that means I have to be out the door at 8:00 which is something I don't do well. I won't be bringing any homebrew. Everything is kicked or is barely drinkable. I will be bringing whatever hard to find beers I can get. Some Allagash or...

Either one would make it much easier for me. But do what you need to do.

I don't mind ponying up some more cash, $50 should be fine.

    Extreme Beer Fest Boston, MA

I'll be going to the first session. I would love to meet up with people and possibly go someplace to eat following. Besides the occasional meet, I rarely get to talk with other homebrewers. If nothing else, feel free to say hi if you see me. I'll be easy to recognize as the fat, bearded...

    I am up for 2 shares, $100.

I would be interested in getting on this. Do you have your own crusher/destemmer? And what is the normal weight for 6 gallons, something like 20 lbs? I've done two concentrated kits and was very unhappy with the result. I am currently fermenting two unconcentrated kits, at least the color is...

    Hello from Kittery, ME!

Good to see some more brewers on the Seacoast. Kittery is a good town. Carl's Meat Market has one of the best beer selections in the area and Enoteca Italiano has a very good selection of properly stored Belgian beers. For brewpubs, I highly recommend the Portsmouth Brewery. They have been...

    Apfelwein question. Meat???

Bastards, I was drawn in. The only person who I personally know who has added ground beef to their beer said that it permanently ruined their fermenter. If any of you have actually added meat to your beer, I salute you.

    Kaiser's Maerzen-Brew

I'll be there, not brewing however. All my equipment is in pieces right now waiting for a stand and new fermentor to be built. Let me know what time and where. Also let me know if there is any food/beer I can bring.

Is there a brew club in Portland ME?

I've met a few of the Southern Maine Homebrewers. Small group, but very enthusiastic and seemed pretty nice.
