Speakin of ice cold beer, I just stuck two plastic jugs of homebrew out on the back porch to take advantage of the sub-freezing temps of our first blizzard of the season. If I can't make it out the driveway tomorrow I won't mind so much.
This reminds me I used to love those pre-mixed rum & cokes Captain Morgan sold for a short time bottled in six-packs. Still can't figure out why they stopped. Maybe they were deadly...
Not sure why, but the idea of brewing my own beer, making my own bread, cheese, etc... just really feels satisfying to me.
And it's more wholesome than pouring salt on slugs anyway.
I'm doing all-grain and I wish I had 2 pots that big! One 5-gallon and one 3-gallon are all I have. I just do partial boils. Try stuff out, you'll come up with a process that works for you.
