    I use the batch sparge method. I always dump the strike water on the grains, instead of dumping the grains onto the water. Am i doing it wrong?

    Very low gravity didnt crush grains...crap..

    Well im in the 4th day of a cream ale i brewed on tues. By wednesday night i had a good steady fermentation.     Damn tannins

    Well one of my brews is really astringent and i know i released tannins on one of my grain steeps. I boiled the crystal malt (i know i know). After searching around here i haven't found a definite answer if there is a possible way to reverse this. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Floating hops in the secondary

    In total i added about 12oz of cascade hops in the boiling process, and put my left over hops in the primary. My question is this..... I would like to float some centennial or more cascade in the secondary. Will this effect the taste in anyway? E.g. More hoppy flavour or not, and will it rot...

    Ok i just started an IPA today, and i have a few questions. I did not wash the yeast. I put the yeast straight into the primary at about 65-70 degrees. Is that ok? This was done at 8:30pm i got home at 3:00am The blow off tube was out of the top of the primary. Will this ruin the chance...
