    True brand beer dispensers

John thanks for the advice! Are they any mfg'ers that are quieter? This is for a pub/brewery at work, so it would be enclosed by a bar counter which should muffle any noises. I'll post up some pics when it's done. The room (500sf) has been under construction for about 3-4 months. I'm...

    True brand beer dispensers

I need some decision making advice . . . I'm interested in getting either the True TDD-2 or the TDD-3 ovbiously they hold 2 and 3 1/2 barrels accordingly, but does anybody here have experience with them to know how many corny kegs each would hold? Or is there a general rule...

    Dispensing away from the kegerator/refrigerator

I need some options and input for dispensing my beer away from where I'm storing my beer. I tried searching here and other homebrew sites for glycol chillers, but haven't found much if anything. I know there is the chest freezer option. It's a viable option, but I don't want my towers to be...

    Can I double a batch???

I posed the same question on another thread, but it was up to 20 gallons. I figure I can just quadruple the recipe, right?

    20 gallon batch recipes

I just took receipt of a B3 sculpture that will do 20 gallon batches (2100 model). My question is - when I have a recipe for 5 gallons, can I just multiply each line by 4 for my 20 gallon system, or are there certain items that need to be adjusted? Thanks

    It's a crime I tell you!

1/3 cooler? That doesn't seem right. I think regular Guinness is to be served around 43 degrees. I thought the extra cold was about 5 degrees lower.

note to self . . . get that sprig to the taxidermist, eat the rest of the homemade venison sausages, make some meatloaf with the venison burger, make some more duck kabobs, find a recipe for the buffalo. I'd hate to lose my game freezer! The Cazador

    Son of Fermantion Chiller

does anybody have a resource for the Extruded Polystyrene? My Home Depot only carries the styrofoam type materials.

    Blow-Off problems

at least somebody is paying attention! Thanks for the tip, I'll try it if I need to. So far it's not too "junky", and it's just foaming, but it's fairly clean. I don't think I'm going to need a blow off after all, the fermentation was hot and heavy at first, but it's starting to slow...

    Blow-Off problems

I'll try to pull off the airlock tonight. I tried and tried last night, but it felt like it was going to break off. I've seen a hook like device that wedges in between the stopper and the lip of the bottle. Does anybody know what it's called?

    Blow-Off problems

my problem is that I can't pull out either the airlock or the stopper.

    Blow-Off problems

I have a 5 gallon batch in a 6 gallon better bottle so I didn't think I'd have a problem with blowoff, but I do. I was going to pull out the airlock and slip in a blow off tube setup, but I can't pull out either the airlock or the stopper. Kraeusen is coming up from the bottle and into the...

    better bottles

I sliced open my hand last week with a glass carboy. So this past weekend I picked up 2 better bottles this past weekend. No problems so far.

    Competitions and judging

I have an Amber Ale on tap right now that I really love; it's nice and smooth and has a really mellow taste. However, the other day a buddy and I went out to dinner and then had some brews and a game of darts at my place. Before we left the restaurant, we each grabbed a mint on the way out...

    San Diego, Coronado Breweries

if you're looking for a good pub, check out "The Field" on 5th in the Gaslamp. Great place, I hit it up every time I go to a Padres game.

    Hello from Orange County, CA

I've been homebrewing for a few years now. I'm an extract'er right now, but plan on moving to all grain in the next couple of months. My local brew supply shops are O'Sheas in Laguna Niguel, More Beer in Riverside, and Stein Fillers in Long Beach.

reminder to be careful when handling carboys

this is the best I could get. It's not glamorous . . . a little swollen and a little black and blue. Worst part of all is that I'm left handed. The length of the stitches is about 1 inch.
