    Carbonating questions...

It's all pretty much preference, but there a few good rules of thumb to go by. Steps 1 and 2 in your post are right on. Step 3 is debatable...some people shake for a minute or so and some shake for 20 minutes. It all depends on the volume of CO2 required for that particular style of beer and...

    Purging rules of thumb?

I like to purge 3 times if I'm force carbing within the next couple of days. Hook up the gas line, hit it with 25-30#, shut gas off, pull release valve until there is no more hissing. Repeat 3 times then on the last one, hit it with 15# and don't release any pressure. Chill the keg for a...

What happened to my brew pot???

So it's salvageable!!! Thats all I needed to hear. I was hoping boiling water in it would replace the oxide layer and from now on no oxygen cleaners during clean up. Thanks for the help!!!

What happened to my brew pot???

I soaked it with Sun Oxygen cleaner in hot water for about 20 minutes. Didn't really have to scrub. Rinsed well and right after rinsing it out, didn't really see any signs of this. Checked a couple of days later and this is how it looks. Can I still use it???

    Kegging setup

I went with the Taprite dual body mainly because I had read more positives than the Chudnow. Not that there are a lot of bad reviews on the Chudnow but simply aren't many reviews period. The two way manifold is part of the basic two keg setup because the basic two keg set up comes with the...

    Kegging setup

I purchased the two keg setup from KegConnection about three weeks ago and couldn't be happier. I also went with the upgrade to the taprite dual body three gauge regulator but opted to drop the two way manifold altogether to save some money. My keezer is only 5 cu.ft. and fits two cornys with...

    just bought this

It's true the midwest setup comes with a dual regulators with 3 gauges. However, after doing a bunch a research on this forum before buying my 2 keg setup from KegConnection, I noticed a lot of complaints about midwest's regulator quality. With KegConnection, they will let you substitute the...

Problem with cornie post or connector....

Seems as though KegConnection got a shipment of faulty quick disconnects. Someone posted a similar problem a couple of days ago and I responded with the following: FWIW...I picked up a 2 keg system from KegConnection last week, brought it home and when I was cleaning the kegs and beer lines...
