Financials of Kegging- Am I Missing Something??

I would recommend the 20lb tank. One, most gas supply places will swap out tanks rather than filling them, so no need to get a fancy shiny 5lb tank when they will likely swap with an ugly steel tank. Two, the 20lb tanks obviously last much longer between fills. And C, price per pound is usually...

LP Propane Plumbing for Brew Stand

Thanks guys, I am going to give the LP route a shot, eventually. I ended up brewing this weekend using the HP setup and 20 lb tanks. It’s certainly doable for now, while I slowly gather up everything I need to make the conversation.

    Inkbird IPB-16 help needed

I set it to PT since it said that that was the default. It was on Cu50. I checked it in ice water, read 32.5 degrees. I am now heating up water to run the auto tune.

Thank you! That did it! My input sensor type was wrong. Reading within parameters now. Time to get it calibrated.

    Inkbird IPB-16 help needed

I have the manual, and I’ve tried to figure out the settings. I’ve watched YouTube videos on how to set it up, and while they certainly help none seem to have the issue I’m having. It seems that the input value is not calibrated correctly, or I have a wrong input value somewhere that I’m missing.

    Inkbird IPB-16 help needed

Thanks, probe is fully seated. Unfortunately it’s been sitting in the box for over a year, so out of warranty. Unfortunately I never got around to installing it until last night.

    Inkbird IPB-16 help needed

I set up my Inkbird controller last night for the first time. I am using it to control a RIMS tube. Whenever I get it powered on, the PV reading is way too high. When running 140 degree water through the RIMS tube, not powering the element, the controller is reading the temp in the 7-800 range...

LP Propane Plumbing for Brew Stand

Little background: I currently have a 2 burner stand, each burner has a 10 psi adjustable regulator on it, that I hood each to a separate 20 lb tank. The burners are typical 10" banjo burners. They are firing under keggles, and I typically brew 5 gallon batches, although I may possibly jump to...

Do you need a 1 off Stainless part built for your system? Let's discuss it.

Jay, I may need one of these sparge arms as well, but without the bend in the arm. I have a bulkhead for a cooler lid, but need to have the arm “hang” from the center of the lid. 1/2” diam.

Just want to add that I have this, with 4 probes and it has been rock solid! I use both for smoking meat, and for checking mash temps. Different probes obviously!

    Keg Polishing Method

Which Meguiars did you use? I just tried the same concept, but used Mothers Mag polish instead of Meguiars. It came out OK, but wasn't truly satisfied, so I ordered some M100. Hopefully that will have more cut than the Mothers.

Lessons learned building a brew stand

I'm going to be doing both myself. I was able to score a deal on superstrut when the local Lowes was clearing it out. It was the green powdercoated strut priced at $0.98 per 10' stick. I grabbed all they had - 15 sticks! :ban: I am going to cut it up and weld it to keep my costs at a minimum...
