    nothing like lemon dish soap, just soap. doesn't even taste like the soap we have here. im really hoping the gypsum will help, i bought a lb of it already... i have noticed it more present in the yeast than in clear beer..

    thanks for the info on gypsum, i'll look into that. my water is just tap (Memphis, TN we have some very decent water here) and i havnt had any problems with any AG batches, the ones i have done lately have been only extract batches due to me trying to cut back on time

    Viable dry hop technique?

    they going to float unless you put them in a bag and weigh it down. they fall eventually (in my experience in about 10 days) and i bottle honestly i dont think it makes any difference .. i normally go for after its racked dont get hop particle on your hose or whatev you use for racking

    i started this thrill of a hobby about a year ago.. price of hops dropped. price of brewing thus did the same.. im loving new prices.. i hear grain used to be alot cheaper.... maybe that will go back down too.. that would be awesome.:mug:

    Should i ditch my SS braid for a manifold?

    my cpvc manifold cost me maybe 8$ i just did the biggest cover for the bottom of my mlt (igloo 5 gal) and cheaply connected it to the valve .. i have maybe 5 feet of cpvc left so i can just reuse for my bigger future mlt build i cut many slits with a dremil tool aboiut every 1/4 inch apart...

    23- bored in knoxville TN but now im back in memphis 24 and my brewing has slowed.. i have more to do and less spare money from not going out.. ever i'd had been looking for a hobby for about 8 years.. BEST HOBBY EVER

    thier cask ales are awesome they dont give the yeast out at s.3rd brewry(also ghost river (personally like it alot better than boscos) but is owend by them) the location that brews on site has yeast i think on wed. call ghost river and signup for the tour. its sat i think 11 am its free...
