Please Help! - Kegerator Compressor will not start

EDIT: Okay after tinkering with it for about an hour. I started to dive through all of the Love control settings, apparently I had the c0 = Minimum time between start and stop. I had the setting set with a min time between start and stop set at 30 minutes, so each time I would unplug/plug to...

    TapRite Regulator Bonnet Removal

Does anyone know how to remove the red plastic bonnet cap on a TapRite regulator? I have one that is stripped and I would like to remove it in order to use it until I receive a replacement part. I have seen the instructions on how to replace the cap, but there aren't any instructions on...

    Experiment with my Witbier Recipe.

Hi all, Been a while since I have posted. I've been attempting to complete my bachelors degree, and have simply been unable to brew due to the workload this past semester. Regardless, my question(s) is relatively simple (I suppose.) I normally do my research as thoroughly as possible, but...

Critique THIS IPA Recipe. . . if you can!

I am brewing 10 gallons of IPA this Saturday. I am debating subbing a potion of the Maris Otter for sugar to dry and thin out the beer a bit. I also have never used Honey Malt so i am subbing a portion of the Crystal with it. I do have some Carafa III for color if necessary, but the beer...

Thoughts on squeezing beer out of dry hops?

I use paint strainer bags weighted with marbles when dry hopping with whole hops, and I was curious as to what your thoughts are on squeezing the beer out of the hops to regain some lost volume and possibly flavor? I suppose oxidation could be an issue, but other more scientific or better...

IPA recipe Belma/Citra/Columbus for flavor add.

Please critique my hopping schedule for the IPA I am brewing Saturday. It will be a 10 gallon batch. I am splitting it into two 5 gallon batches, and plan to DH primarily with Belma in one and with Citra in the other. I am also going to use two different Yeasts, WLP 001 and WLP 007 (I am...

    IPA bittering hops advice

Alright, my brewing has been sporadic to say the least this past year. I have definitely fallen of the curve. Anyhow, I have my coffee stout recipe down and my Belgian Wit recipe down. Really struggling with making a good IPA. I have not made one since I started water adjustments, and...

    Kegging question, probably stupid...

Is there any way to charge a keg with a set psi at a stable temperature to obtain a set co2 volume without leaving it on the gas? For instance, if I wanted 3.5 volumes at 38°F I would need 21-22psi. What pressure would I need to charge the keg to, in order to reach the 3.5 volumes without...

    My Brew Brand Creative Logo

I received my brewery logo from Josh today. He's been working with me since about November. He is really great at helping realize an idea, and his ability to use artistic license is superb. Please let me know what you think about my brewery logo. If you are in need of some great...

    Belgian Tripel sugar addition advice

I brewed a Belgian Tripel this past Wednesday and I decided to leave the sugar addition out of the boil and add it during fermentation. Here is the recipe: Style: Belgian Tripel TYPE: All Grain Taste: (30.0) Recipe Specifications -------------------------- Boil Size: 14.48 gal Post...

    Acid Malt

Does acid malt in the order of 4.0% of the grist seem like too much. My mash pH according to Bru'n Water is 5.7, and adding 1lb 2oz of acid malt brings it down to pH 5.4.

    Does this look wrong?

I will be brewing a Belgian Tripel, my first, next week. I do not have my local water report, and due to the astonishing amount of construction going on around my home right now, I wouldn't trust it from day-to-day anyhow. Also, I have not yet purchased a pH meter, it is on my wish list...

Check valve for blow off rig?

I use 6 gallon PET carboys in my brewery, and I have had a couple of instances, when I have been too lazy to switch the blow of rigging to a standard airlock, and have had some major suck-back siphoning of all of my Star-San solution in my blow off container. I use standard 3-piece airlocks...

    What do you think?

Dupont strain for a Belgian Witbier? Yea or nay? My thoughts are the peppery spice might pair well with the Indian Coriander and Orange zest.

    Tell me the best way...

I am brewing a Belgian Wit, what IYO, would be the best method for handling this grainbill: 11lbs Belgian pils 10lbs flaked wheat 1lb Munich 2lb rice hulls 10 gallon batch. I infusion mash, so I suppose a protein rest about 122F would be a good idea. Any suggestions on how to make this...

    Cycling inspired custom tap-handle

A friend of mine is an avid cyclist and mountain biking enthusiast. I commute via bicycle around school, and sometimes to work, but I am not quite the sportsman as my friend, but we have been known to share a few of my homebrews from time-to-time. As a token of his appreciation for great beer...

So I put together a Randall...

Thought I'd share my build. I didn't really document it very well photographically because it has been done quite a few times. Having said that, I did use all stainless fittings and added a few to make my Randall experience easier to use. Here is what I started with: Parts List...

    What the hell happened?

I have been AG brewing for a while now. I usually double batch sparge, but on occasion have conducted a step infusion mash with high protein grain bills. However, my last brew day (this past Wednesday) I brewed 10 gallons of a session IPA. My grain bill consisted primarily of 2-row and...

    Post fermentation yeast addition.

I will be needing to bottle a Stout that I have been aging on oak. Before secondary I dropped the yeast out at 33°F for 4 days, then transferred onto my whiskey soaked oak. Any suggestions on what yeast will yield the best results for carbonation during bottling? I prefer to use a dry...

Best method for cutting stainless steel?

I have a very small project that I am working on and I need to cut a piece of stainless tube (just 2 simple straight cuts). It is my understanding that when using a hacksaw, or any type of non stainless metal-to-stainless metal cutting, the stainless becomes contaminated with the other steel...
