    Water adjustments; choosing a tool

Let's put it out there. I'm not a chemist. I hate sciencey things. I'm trying to learn more about water chemistry to understand its impact on my finished beers, particularly my perceived bitterness. I got my report back and decided to try to put it to work before asking for help. Here's the...

    Critique: Fruity IPA

Wanting to make something with a little fruity twist to suit my wife's palate. I don't want things too bitter, but I want plenty flavor and aroma to go with the malt. I have Palisade, Calypso, Cascade, Centennial, Columbus, Warrior and Chinook on hand. Brewer: Jay Asst Brewer: Style...

    575 SS just dribbles

When I use the "creamer" function on my 575 SS, it simply dribbles out, but doesn't create any foam. Is this a simple fix?

Brewing American (Ultimate) Pale Ale from Annapolis Home Brew Supply

Trying my second brew today. It's a SN style IPA according to the guy at the shop. I tasted their result of the same recipe and it was pretty good. This was my first with steeping grains and I already effed it up a bit, but I will recover. I added cold water to my pot and poured the...

    Brew Newb in Maryland

I'm a Christmas brewer. My wife figured I like micros so much, she'd buy me a kit. I bottled my first batch (true brew red ale extract kit) on January 18th. It's resting nicely in my garage now building carbonation, etc. I hope it's ready soon! Looking forward to some nice brews.
