Gas and Temperature Control for Dummies

Reviving a dead thread. Looking for some help. I built one of these systems years ago. Since day one I've had issues with the pilots and burners. The pilot would light, the burner would light and then the pilot and burner would both cut out for seemingly no reason. I thought it was a flame...

Braumeister 20L for sale in Minneapolis

Man I wish you'd ship! I'm in Canada so I can't come get it but if you'd ship I'd take it in heartbeat! You sure we can't work something out?

WTB: Copper hood for 50l Braumeister

Looking for a copper hood for a 50l Braumeister. If I can find one in Canada that'd be even better.

Canada (2) March Polysulpha......Plastic Pump Heads.

Several people have expressed interest but decide to pass when they see the shipping costs. The quotes I'm getting to ship from Canada to the US are consistently coming in at around $15US (plus/minus a few bucks depending on location).

Canada (2) March Polysulpha......Plastic Pump Heads.

Looks like these are still available. First guy to respond decided he didn't want them. Haven't heard from the second responder at all.

Canada (2) March Polysulpha......Plastic Pump Heads.

I have (2) plastic March pump heads collecting dust. Before I throw them out I thought I'd see if anyone can use them. I don't want anything for them. Pay for shipping and they're yours. I'm in Canada but will ship anywhere.

    My Malt Mill Build

I'm not on the site much anymore so I'm replying to this fairly late. Like almost a year late. There aren't any bushing in this malt mill so I assume you're asking about the roller bearings: The bearings for the fixed roller are pressed into the aluminum side plate until the outer bearing...

Disposable O2 Tank Regulator modded for Flowmeter

Well thanks. If either of you decide to do this mod I suggest trying to keep brass bits out of the orifice on the regulator when you're drilling and tapping. One idea is using petroleum jelly to plug the hole. It'll keep the shavings from going into the orifice and should be pretty easy to...

Disposable O2 Tank Regulator modded for Flowmeter

It's been 7 years? Wow. Still works great. No issues with it. Admittedly its prob a bit of overkill though. I just like building stuff.

    5 Gallon Stir Plate

Thanks for the reply. Just to make sure I understand you correctly: in your experience the stir plate doesn't help when fermenting high gravity beers or meads. Can you elaborate? What did you brew? Was it a split batch? If so was there any difference between the two batches whatsoever...

    5 Gallon Stir Plate

I don't want to draw attention away from the shady/incompetent business practices of the guy developing these large stir plates but I do have a question: Has anyone done a split batch to compare a stir plate ferment VS regular ferment? I did a quick skim of this thread and I didn't see any...

Market Research - What do you need, but can't build?

I have yet to see one sized appropriately for home brewing at any price. Could be wrong though. Edit: Didn't notice your link before replying. That's pretty much what I was thinking. Probably still a bit large though.

Market Research - What do you need, but can't build?

How about designing/manufacturing a plate chiller that can be disassembled for cleaning. I'm sure this would be cost-prohibitive but if I had to pick 1 piece of equipment that doesn't currently exist that would be it.

    Idea for a product

I'm a CAD designer/detailer. I work with AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD almost every day. I typically do industrial type work and only have limited experience with plastics/moulding. At the very least I might be able to help with creating a basic model to get your idea across. Maybe we can do...
