    Carb. and Disconnect?

Will there be any ill effects for taking a fully carbed beer off the gas for 3 weeks? I want to carb another keg, but lack the hosing (etc.) for more than three kegs. The disconnected keg will still be stored @34 degrees. I'm assuming it will be good to go once I hook it up in 3 weeks. Any...

    Keg Storage For Kolsch?

I'm brewing for a wedding and want to get as much of it done as much as possible beforehand. If I brewed my "Honey Kolsch" tomorrow, would the flavor be hurt by a few months in the keg? It's a kolsch-style beer with honey malt and flaked maize--so not very hoppy to begin with. Thoughts much...

    Wedding Brew Suggestions?

I'm getting married in September, and am brewing for my wedding (100 people or so). I think have narrowed the beer list down: 1. Belgian Dubbel (10 gallons) - A maltier stronger beer with mass-appeal. 2. Edwort's Apfelwein (10 gallons) - Seasonal offering with a lot of kick! 3. 10...

How Does My First IPA Recipe Look?

I'm going for a very citrusy IPA with a malty backbone to stand up to the hops. Any thoughts on my hopping schedule to maximize fruity citrus flavors? I went with toasted 2-row for my "malty backbone," would munich work better? Crystal 60L instead of 20L? Torrified wheat instead of barley for...

    Help--Weak Tap Stream

I recently built my Kegerator with four taps, but sadly I'm having trouble get a strong stream on two of the four taps. I've checked for leaks and didn't find any. I tightened all the fittings and it still comes out a trickle with lots of foam. Any troubleshooting advice?

    CO2 / Regulator Questions

So I finally got my kegerator up and running! Trouble is, now it seems my CO2 tank is being consumed rather rapidly by my first kegged beer. I checked for leaks using soapy water, and found one and corrected by tightening the bolt. I know my keg is ok--since it was tested by Austin Homebrew...

    Conditioning in Keg

Easy question that is hard to find an answer to: Can I use a corney as a secondary without hooking it up to CO2?

    Is this a good deal?

A buddy of mine offered to sell me the following for ~$150 "- 2 keg homebrew kegging system (w/ 10 pound CO2 tank) This includes tubing, ball lock disconnects, and dual gauge regulator." If this not a good deal, what would be a good counter-offer? Are their any other questions I should...

    Peach Wheat

It's summer and I snagged some unbelievable peaches at an orchard this weekend. My family normally makes something called "Peach Pit Jelly" using the skins and pits of the peaches. We boil the pits and the skins to make a syrup for the jelly. I thought to myself... why not use this syrup to...

    Wit Beer Seasoning Questions

Brewed a wit beer using a partial mash yesterday and I think it turned out OK. I wanted the beer to be spice subtle so I placed the coriander and bitter orange peel the recipe called for in a muslin bag and added it to the boil during the last five minutes and then removed it. I am beginning...
