    When to bottle wine???

    How do you know when it is time to transfer the wine from the primary to the secondary? I didn't take any hydrometer readings, its been 2 weeks and the primary is still bubbling once @ 30 seconds:confused:

    racked to secondary too soon?

    I just racked an IPA to the secondary, may be too soon... I pulled the cover off the plastic bucket and there was about 3'' of crap stuck to the side , but a good amount of froth still on top of the brew, I racked to the secondary, but i wonder about what effects this may have on the final...

    overcarbonation?

    I brewed a lager and bottled about 10 days ago, about every other bottle seems to volcano foam and when i tried to sip, it feels like a million tiny bubbles on the tongue. Can anyone tell me if they've seen this ?

    Overcarbonation??

    I bottled about 10 days ago and just about every other beer i open seems to be overcarbonated, either comes quickly foaming out of the bottle or when i pour it makes a big head and when i go to drink it tastes like a mouth full of tiny bubbles, what could cause this? I thought i followed...

    How long should I boil?

    Trying a Hard Cider tonight, How long should the apple juice boil? Any help would be great:) I'm using 3 gallons of Apple juice and .5 cup Honey.;) Thanks

    Question about the look of the wort

    Yesterday I racked my Samuel Adams Boston Lager clone from the primary into the secondary and added .25 oz Hallertauer (pellets), now a day latter when I look at it , all the hop is at the top and seems to be growing puffy stuff?     Did I ruin it???

    I was putting the airlock on the primary bucket and the rubber was pushed through into the wort,:eek: I quickly reached in and grabbed it, it was at the bottom, and replaced it and sealed the lid and put the airlock back on not pushing so hard this time. The question is is this contamination...
