Vienna Lager Boston Lager Clone (Decoction/Krausening AG recipe)

To be honest... It was good, but nothing like Boston Lager. Could be my water chemistry though, been having trouble getting good hop profiles.

Mesh Tea Balls in the Keg

Just wondering if anyone has input when it comes to using these tea balls filled with hops in a keg. I did a search, with no return on my exact question. Is it worth while to just dump the ball in the keg, leave it sit for a while, carb up and serve with the hop ball still in the keg? I figure...

    Yeast Washing Illustrated

I tried searching for my question, sorry if I missed the answer! At the final stage, when I'm ready to make my starter, do I discard the liquid and pitch the trub/stuff at the bottom of the mason jar into the flask? Or is it the other way around, pour only the liquid into the starter flask and...

Anyone use this burner with a keggle?

Hi All: I know this might sound like a stupid "is this safe" question, but the Keggle seems to fit snuggly around the rim... Does anyone use this burner with a keggle? Any suggestions on making it more secure? Thanks again.

    How did you quit smoking?

If you snore (like i did) or still have your tonsils, you could do like I did and go in for surgery! haha, I had my tonsils removed and my sinuses "drilled" out to stop snoring and not get so many colds, etc. Anyways, during the recovery time you will want anything but a smoke, trust me. Its...

Glass carboys rock...until you drop one!

IMHO, I'd save myself the time, money and headache (in the case of something going wrong) and just get some 6 gallon Better Bottles, they're perfect for both primary and secondary.

Glass carboys rock...until you drop one!

Nope standard ale at room temperature. I thought it was a quality one too. Everything healed up alright, I've just got some amazing "brewing scars" hahaha.

Glass carboys rock...until you drop one!

Word. For the sake of some stomachs out there, I won't show you the other foot. P.S. I didn't drop it. I was racking to this carboy as a secondary, tilted it at and angle to prevent splashing. Once I got about a gallon in there it decided to shatter. Couldn't believe my eyes as it impaled one...
