    Wasabi beer?

Yes please tell me how all of these beers turned out. I'm looking to do a pale/IPA with wasabi and ginger and I'm interested in dosing amounts. Since both are such volatile aromas, I'm planning to use them in the priming keg before transferring to serving keg.

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

Here is my currently manual, gas/electric hybrid HERMS. I've used it twice so far and love it. The only thing I'm frustrated with is long chilling times (30+ minutes) causing poor cold break.

How did you mount these pumps? Do you have some kind of brackets holding them or just the bolts of the pump head?

    Cheap compact wort pump

How were you using your pump? I would like to use mine, as suggested by many in this thread, only to recirculate water for my HERMS HLT. If these things are **** for even this, I could stand to save $20.

Stainless vs Aluminum vs Polypropylene Cam and Groove Couplings

Have any of you aluminum guys noticed damage to or have any leaking trouble with the threads of the camlocks? If not, did you just wrap liberally with tape and never remove them from your ball valves? Thanks

    Number of Valves

I guess I wasn't really clear in my description. Instead of having the valve at the pump, I would just move it to the end of the hose. Not losing the liquid in the hose has two benefits to me. No scalding water on my hands, feet, pets, etc. This will keep the pump primed. I'm not 100% sure...

    Number of Valves

I'm trying to mentally plan upgrades in my brewing equipment. I'm ready to make the plunge into recirculating my mash and transferring liquids with a single pump. I will be using quick disconnects to move hoses to and from HLT, MLT, and BK. Because I will be moving these hoses from vessel to...

    Heat stick build

Thanks all. Honestly, I don't fear most products that may come in contact with food products. However, I'm confident that you have done the research and have suggested something that should be "completely" safe. Cheers.

    Heat stick build

Thank you for the advice! I've been reading some controversies about which silicones are safe for prolonged food contact at high temps. To save me a headache, what brand(s) have you used and where is the easiest/best place to pick these up? Thanks!

    Heat stick build

wilserbrewer, did you use a sealant on the element threads or did you use gaskets to make a seal?

    Cheap compact wort pump

This has been asked before without a reply, but has anyone tried or have insight into the use of the last pump on the spreadsheet? http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC50C-1240S-DC-12V-45-6W-Brushless-Magnetic-Drive-Centrifugal-Water-Pump-2150L-H-/221212022318?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item338143962e...
