    heineken labels

    I dont know. I have had the hardest time with amstel light bottles. They have the same plastic labels... I can usually peel off most of the label, but the adhesive is left behind, and as much as I soak it in my 150 degree tap water, it doesnt come off.

    Nah, it's fine. Just use the sanitizer drain it. Should be fine after that. FWIW, I usually rinse no rise sanitizer anyway and I have never had a problem with infections *knocks on wood*

    Boosting Alcohol content??

    Could always do what they do to eisbock... chill the beer to the point where the water freezes and the alcohol doesnt, and then remove the ice. That concentrates the alcohol.

    Ball valve

    Is there any problem using a ball valve labeled for gas and not water on my mash tun? I could only find valves the right size that were labeled 'gas' and after putting it together it seems to work just fine.

    First all grain complete
