    My first Oktoberfest

So I brewed my first Oktoberfest from an extract kit. I brewed it in early May, kegged it on May 29th, kept it at about 55-60° until about a week ago. I put it in the keezer for 24 hours to drop the temperature to about 33°. Then I added gelatin, purged the head space with co2, and put it at...

    NEIPA

My first crack at a NEIPA. Tastes pretty good and I think it looks good.

    Sanke Keg possibilities

I have a 15.5 gallon sanke keg that I have been kicking around for awhile now. Logically I should return it for the $50 deposit, but where else would you get a 15.5 gallon fermenter or keggle? The real question remains is which do I want to do with it? Now I did by the NorCal Cross to use it...

    North Dakota Bismarck ND

Hey NoDak'ers!!! I am just a home brewer that has been brewing for almost 2 years now. I am not a member of any club or group, just a guy that enjoys brewing beer that I like to drink. My favorite beer to brew is an Amber and currently use an extract kit but I am slowly making my way to AGB...

    NEIPA troubles?

First off, let me say that I am not even close to an expert brewer having only been brewing for about 18 months. With that said I am an extract brewer with several American Lights and Ambers, as well as a Pilsner, Cream Ale and an IPA, all being in the realm of easy to intermediate. I decided...

    Oktoberfest

I brewed my first Oktoberfest from Brewers Best. Today I keg'd it to condition until somewhere around late September. It came in at around 5.6% and looks real good. As per usual I sampled it just before kegging and I am very pleased with the turnout. I know an extract kit is somewhat dummy proof...

    Amber Beer

I just love an Amber beer, good thing Brewers Best has an easy kit. I brewed this beer on Jan 16 and left it in my conical until Feb 7th (making sure to dump the trub). After kegging, I purged the O2 and left it sit in the keezer for 3 1/2 days at approximately 31°. I force carbonated it at 30...

    New Style of Beer

I just wanted to share this with everyone. This beer I call 'Color of Your Energy'. From there, one could figure out the style. I have never brewed this style and wanted to expand my experiences. This has been in the fermenter for 2 weeks now and I am thinking another week to finish cleaning up...

    Is it bad?

I was kegging an American Light and forgot to remove the bung and blowoff tube. I am guessing about a quart of sanitized water was sucked in. My question is this, is 5 gallons ruined or ok to drink? I only notice an off flavor and the head tends to separate kinda like a heavy cream mixed with water.

    American Light Extract

I am at day 7 of my American Light brew and a little nervous as to the final taste. Now normally this extract has a decent hoppy flavor, what I did this time was boil my hops in a muslin bag. The beer looks great and I think it will clear up nicely but the hops in a muslin bag just have me a...

    Bismarck ND Brewer here

Hello brewers!!! I joined a bit ago and started reading threads and figured it was ride of me to not introduce myself. I have been brewing steady for the last year or so with extract kits. I do like the ease of these kits as well as the clear instructions. I started with a Norther Brewer...

    Bismarck ND Stuff for Free

Hello fellow homebrewers!!! I brew extract kits quite a bit but I do not bottle, I keg. I have an abundance of priming sugars and bottle caps as well as a bottle tree and hand capper to unload. If anyone is in the Bismarck ND area, or willing to travel, I am giving these away. Happy Brewing!
