Ebenezer's Elation (Holiday Ale) Recipe - Briess - anyone have it?

So I misplaced the recipe card from Briess that was in an older issue of BYO. I had hoped to brew this recipe this weekend and will wing it based on what I remember BUT it would be great if anyone knows the origin or has a copy of the recipe they'd be willing to share. My guess is the recipe...

Does it Exist? 3/8" Female Flare Elbow for Banjo Burner

We're trying to find a way to go from the 3/8" Male Flare Banjo Orifice to a 90 elbow so we can connect our 1/2" flex gas connector. I've looked all over - does anything like this exist? All of the options I can find add several pieces together to go from the orifice to a 90. I've searched...

2 Stage Low Pressure Propane Regulator

We're trying to figure out what regulator we need for our brewstand. We've been reading several posts on here that suggest having a 2 stage regulator - we'll need low pressure with 11 wc output. I've been looking but most are fairly low BTU ratings. What would be a good regulator that will...

    Jockey Box Questions

As if I don't have enough home brew projects - I'm already thinking about another I want to try and tackle down the road. Was doing some research today on building a Jockey Box. I've read a few things and will stay clear of copper tubing (although I know some folks have gone that route - I'd...

Source for SS 1/2" Tube x 1/2" NPT Fittings

Anyone seen a better price on SS tube fittings with 1/2" Tube x 1/2" NPT fittings than McMaster - $17.50. 5182K135 http://www.mcmaster.com/#16175a74/=58swqx Need a few of them for our dip tubes and before I pull the trigger at McMaster just wanted to see if anyone knew of a place - doubt I'll...

Best (inexpensive) Drill for Grain Mill - Harbor Freight?

Anyone had good luck with the 3/8" keyed chuck variable speed drill at Harbor Freight that runs $30 or so - for use with a grain mill (MM2)? Wasn't sure if it's got decent torque to get going (not stall out) or if I need to be looking at a slightly more expensive drill.

    Monster Mill MM2 or MM2-2.0?

Does the extra 1/2" on the MM2-2.0 really result in a better crush in anyway? I'm leaning more towards just the standard MM2 (not upgrading to a 1/2" shaft or SS). But after searching didn't see much discussion on the differences between these models. Any thoughts, opinions or suggestions in...

How much can weldless fittings support?

So for now we'll probably end up going weldless fittings on our keggles and eventually have them welded (trying to reduce our immediate costs - as the brewery build itself is a few grand we're shelling out!) Curious how much weight/equipment a weldless bulkhead can handle. Anyone think this...

Plastic bags for lining inside homer buckets (Bulk Grain Storage)

What's the best bag to use to line the homer buckets when using them to store bulk grains? Most garbage bags I've read are not for use with food. I've seen several photos of folks using the homer buckets lined with plastic bags and just curious what everyone is using. Still deciding on our...

Random - Fake Hop Vine Decorations

Looking for some fake silk or plastic hop vines/cones decorations. Not sure if this type of thing exists anywhere but thought it'd be a great add to our home bar. Anyone seen such a thing before?

    March 809 PL-HS-C - 115V (eBay for $108.99 w/free SHI)

For those in the market for a center inlet march pump, USA Pumps just got a few more in. Figured I'd pass the word on (I'm in no way affiliated with them, just been watching for inline models and saw these)...

March Pump Deals? Anyone seen decent prices lately?

Anyone seen any decent prices on March Pumps (809 HS PL) since the $105 w/ free SHI deal on eBay a while back? I've not seen much better than $130 (without the mounting bracket).

WANTED SERVICES: Keggle Welding in Seattle Area

Looking for welders in the Seattle area familiar with welding stainless - figured I'd ask on here before we go searching the Yellow-Book.

Wow... Keg Chairs for a cheap cost of $550

This gave me a chuckle. Browsing Craigslist and came across this post: http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/clt/1482090082.html Uh just selling for the cost of Labor? Yeah ok - polishing takes some time and elbow grease but come on - $550? I could think of a lot better ways to use...

Source for Slant Top / Hoffman Style Console Enclosure - Any ideas?

We've been looking for an affordable slant top console enclosure - kind of like the hoffman electrical enclosures. The Hoffman boxes are all NEMA and aren't cheap! A bit overkill for our control box. Thought maybe someone on here would know of a source for something like this - doesn't have...

Brewery Build - Single Tier HERMS

Preface: This project began, as many home brewing projects do, as a discussion over a few beers, debating the possibilities, costs and rewards of building a small scale brewery as a family. A father, the engineer, and two sons, the oldest of which is project driven OCD, the other the fun loving...

    Brutus Pilot Ignition

How is Lonnie igniting the pilot in Brutus? Being that his pilot is just a ball valve and small flow burner - standing by for the ASCO to open up flow to the jet burner. I don't see anything in the BYO article or the photos that would suggest they are spark ignited, etc - does anyone know? Is...

Casks - Do they exist for sale anywhere?

Have always wanted to cask condition some home brew and do so in an actual cask with gravity feed. Although I know this is highly unlikely - has anyone ever seen casks for sale? Or have other methods besides pushing beer with a slight CO2 "push" in a normal Corny keg?

Bayou Classic BG14 Banjo Burner with Natural Gas

Can someone confirm they've converted a BG14 Banjo Burner to work with Natural Gas? Does the Natural Gas Valve for the Hurricane Burners thread into these Banjo Burners without a problem? I want to be able to confirm this before ordering. Thanks
