    Feedback on this PA recipe

Should be a nice pale ale, albeit not too hoppy. The caramunich is fairly sweet for a caramel/crystal grain tending toward raisin and date flavors. The munich would not have needed to be mashed to pull out it's attributes- a bit of biscuit and bread flavor, with some head retention and body...

2.5 Gallons in 6 Gallon Secondary - Too Much Headspace

My general rule- At least 50% full for primary and 80% full for secondary. Too much headspace in a secondary will cause the beer to oxidize. If the beer is done fermenting, it won't create CO2- thus leaving the oxygen in the bucket to settle in to your beer. If you transfer 'young' while a...

    Cleaning & Sanitizing bottles

I use Star San, a really good no-rinse sanitizer. If mixed properly (1oz to 5 gallons of water,) a little bit left in the bottom of your bottle doesn't effect the flavor of your beer and keeps your bottles sanitized. I typically mix a bucket up on brewing and bottling day, and soak my bottles...

    dry hop with cascade?

One of the best hops to use in dry hopping. Take a lookat your local homebrew shop for wet hops like these. Lots of aroma and only available this time of year.

Where to find Nelson Sauvin Hops?

According to distributors, this year's won't be in a for a month or two, and we'll have to see how much Nelson Sauvin actually makes it to the US this year, it didn't last long last year, and I had to cut out distributors and contact a small hop farm to have Nelson Sauvin through the first part...

Irregular- Thanks for catching the wine kit:) Yeah, prices do need some work, I admit. Some stuff is lower than it maybe should be, and a lot of the bigger stuff is higher than it should be. I'm hoping to hash out the best way to keep it free shipping, and getting my prices slightly closer...

As someone who grew up in Wisconsin and now lives in New Orleans where they claim to drink a lot (so does the Northwest, but wow, those guys were done and I was just gearing up...), Wisconsin consumption of beer is only matched by Germany...and I think the last numbers showed Wisconsin consumed...
