    DIY fermentation chamber questions

    Correct That should be fine. If you don't have to build a fermentation chamber I wouldn't. Make sure that your STC temp sensor is in a thermowell in the fermenter. I find that my fermenter runs up to 5 degrees F higher than ambient during the peak of fermentation.

    How to clean a march pump

    Pulse the pump a few times on and off and let it sit the time recommended above. This will ensure that any cavitation bubbles are removed and the other stuff has time to soak.

    I tap it out. If necessary now it out with compressed air. I had to recently take it apart and clean the bearing surfaces and end of the roller surfaces as a build up had started make the turning of the sympathetic roller sticky.
