Whats the best way to cold crash in a better bottle? When I use a solid stopper it sucks in the outside of the bottle and I'm worried it will eventually damage it. If I use an airlock I'm worried about it sucking in air or water through the airlock.
I'm unsure about C-Brite, but I would bet Bar Keepers Friend would work. I use it on my glass-ceramic smoothtop range (but I would much rather have a Gas Range!).
I am wondering if anyone has used an aluminum or copper plate to help spread the heat when using a stainless pot that doesn't have an aluminum core bottom?

I had the same problem. I depressurized the keg, and racked it into a carboy (don't recall any issues with foaming). Then I used the CO2 to clear out the pickup tube (my wife's idea at the time), cleaned the carboy, and racked the beer back in.
I just got a 6 Gal BB and am fermenting my first batch in it. I'm getting a little blowoff, but then again I may have got that with a 6.5 Gal carboy too. I was able to fit some ordinary racking tubing into my BB stopper for a blowoff tube.
