Best tap/conversion option for Sanke kegs

Looking for some advice on using 1/6 to 1/2 barrel kegs with my ball lock co2 setup. Would these work? Are there better options? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007MCF7I4/ http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006IW80HY/

Alts for Briess Brewer's Malt and Briess Pale Malt

My LHBS doesn't carry these. I can't figure out what Briess Brewer's Malt is, let alone figure out a substitution. Same for Briess Pale Malt.

Sun oxygen cleaner not at wal mart anymore?

My store doesn't carry it anymore. Anyone know if this can be found elsewhere?

    stainless steel hop canister/bag

My LHBS has these SS tea balls, about the size of a raquetball. They're fantastic, but don't hold enough. I'm sick of muslin and plastic hop bags. I'm looking to find or build a stainless steel hop canister or bag for boiling hops. Ideally this would be a cylinder made of wire mesh with a...

    Where to buy full yard?

I've been looking forever for a full yard glass, all I can find are those pvssy half yard ones. Anyone know where to get the real deal?

    Ridiculously large ornate stein

Anyone know where to get one? Ideally it'd hold a quart or more, be under $100 and stupidly ornate.

    $30 fireproof HLT stand

Figuring out a cheap, easy to store yet flame-resistant gravity system for 10g batches ain't easy. After considering pumps, stands, etc. here's what I came up with. The BK burner sits on cinder blocks, this puts the outlet valve just above the 5g mark on a carboy. The MLT sits on a sawhorse...

Alternative to pumps for 10g batches

The whole pump thing sounds terrible complicated. Too much to clean, store, setup, etc. So I got to thinking about alternatives and came up with this. Cheaper, more versatile (we own two vintage Vespas and could use as a lift for them), etc...

    10g yeast starter?

For years I've been doing 5g batches and am now upgrading to 10g. My usual procedure for making yeast, whether from slurry or a new packet, is to dissolve 1/3c malt extract in 2c water, boil, cool to 70F, then pitch the yeast and cover with foil 2 days before brewing. So for 10g would I...

    Hose splitter?

I'm looking for a stainless steel T or Y splitter with 1/2" barbs on all three ends. Basically I want to take the output hose from my pump and split it into two hoses so I can fill two carboys at once. Can't find them anywhere!

    Parts for weldless spigot?

My buddy gave me this spigot that I want to install on my 10 g SS pot, without welding. Does anyone know what parts I need and where I could get them? Thanks!

    Making an AC adapter

I have a battery-powered alarm clock that takes 4 c-cell batteries. I want to make an AC adapter for it. From what I've been able to figure, all I need is a 6V AC adapter (4X1.5V) and receptacle, right? Then just solder the receptacle to the respective + and - wires in the clock?

    Stuck Saison?

OG was 1.048. I fermented with WLP568 for 3 weeks at 80F. It's now holding steady at 1.024. I'm thinking about pouring in some English Ale yeast to finish it off. Thoughts?

    car stereo trouble

I figure someone on here might know something... I have a Pioneer in-dash receiver with 3 sets of stereo RCA outputs. The subwoofer set goes to an amp under a seat, then to the sub. The other 2 sets are front and rear, which all go to a 4-channel ump under another seat, then to crossovers...

    Costco Mead

I brewed up my first batch of mead last weekend. I based it on Charlie Papazian's red raspberry recipe, but used Costco ingredients and upped the quantity to use as much of them as possible. 22.4 lbs. clover honey (they come in 6 lb. jugs) 12 lbs. berries (frozen mix of red raspberries...

    Blown batch...

I opened a few of my maple wheat bottles this weekend, and I think they're all bad. They gush out about half of the beer, and if I open slowly I can see all this junk floating around, like flakes of something. They taste like gasoline despite 8 weeks in the bottle. I forced one down and ended up...

    Forced to dry out

This sucks. I started getting sick a MONTH ago, it turned into pneumonia right after Christmas. I've been through two rounds of antibiotics, a couple gallons of codeine cough syrup, a few pallets of Sudafed and Advil and am happiest sitting in the shower breathing steam. I haven't had a beer...

    Add water after fermentation?

I brewed 6 gallons of a Sam Smith Nut Brown Ale clone. Due to some tinkering with my mashing process, I got a whole lot more efficiency than I expected. My carboy is only 6.5, so I couldn't add water at the time, and didn't have a spare one to split the batch. I was aiming for an OG of 1.057...

    I got a job!

Just got a job offer this morning from a company I've been interviewing with for 2 months. I'm really excited, but at the same time I've only worked 4 months full time in the past 12 months, and have gotten used to the time. I've got enough time to get one more batch in before I start though...
