    Favorite HME Brand?

I've to date primarily used Mr. Beer HME kits with and without steeped grains with some good results. Wondering if there any other brands worth trying here in US?

    Best yeast for extract brews

Just wondering if anyone had found that certain yeasts work better for extract brews than others?

    PicoBrew Pico users

So I have a second hand pico C and a Picostill. Don't care about the latter and would like to just sell the setup. If I decided to wade into this mess... Is it worth it? I mean I do small batch all grain, plus I have a Beermkr and also do extract kits. Is there a way to edit recipes and do...

    Mr. Beer Spreadsheet

At one time I thought I saw that someone had the data for all the Mr. Beer ingredients in one spreadsheet / table? I want to be able to calculate my own recipes like I would with all grain. Mr. Beer has some specialty LME and "booster packs".

    Saison, make it mine

How much are you brewing? Also for a saison I would get a saison yeast. I don't believe T-58 will give you what you want.

Will a MR BEER LME can go bad?

So I got some free cans. I have a April 2021 Octoberfest 2020 Octoberfest 2019 Light. I'm thinking of hitting the most recent Obtoberfest with some Kveik Voss. I thought maybe hitting the Light with saison yeast to dry it out? Maybe mash some wheat as well? The older can of Octoberfest maybe...

    Newbie Question — Low FG

Just to check-in... the beer is pretty bad. On the plus side I picked up John Palmer’s Book in Hong Kong this past week and figured out that I did several key things wrong with the lager. I guess lagers are much more finicky than ales. On the flip side the dark ale I did a month ago really...

    Newbie Question — Low FG

Ok before I saw that last comment i pitched teh rest of yeast and swirled / shook them again. Then I saw your message so I left them for the past several days and bottle them tonight. Had a little taste and they’re getting better but probably not “drinkable yet’. I’ll let them set and...

    Newbie Question — Low FG

Hmm. it has that sickenly sweet moldy bread or food smell. The second still has bubbles coming up occassionaly from the bottom. I’ve moved them to a slightly warmer part of the house in the past day because I was going to dump them. Just what I tested wasn’t very beer-like. The first...

    Newbie Question — Low FG

The beer got infected for sure — I se what appears to be mold on the top of one. Not sure why 2 different batches got infected but oh well. I’ll be more careful next time.

    Newbie Question — Low FG

So an update. I swirled both about 5 days ago. Check FG today and dropped 2 - 4 points. However, they smell like ethylene glycol perhaps and taste sweet and well almost undrinkable. Any chance they recover... or is time to dump? They’re only 1 gallon batches... so not a huge loss. They...
