Thank you for helping out. I was worried to put the chiller in my wort. I have cleaned it all good and star san'ed. It will not scrub of so probably won't come of in wort.

    PBW stain on stainless?

After my last brew day I rinsed off my stainless mash spoon and wort chiller then put them into a bucket of pbw to soak. I forgot about them because I wasn't able to brew for about 2 months. I found them today as I was getting ready for brew day. They have strange stains on them that I cannot...

    6hr flight, VA to CA

Thanks to everyone! I had some scary flights back in the day. Bad storms. One time we were sent to a different airport to land because of a storm. After circling forever we tried to land, as soon as the wheels hit ground we went straight back up. Almost hit another plane on the runway. I am...

    6hr flight, VA to CA

I have a friend in CA to visit but the flight is 6hrs. I first have a 1hr flight to DC, then the 6 hr flight to San Fran. I have not flown since before 9-11 and never longer than 2 hrs. I have a fear of heights and I am a lil claustrophobic. Can anyone give me some info on what I will have to go...

First taste, first ever brewed beer...

Congrats on your first beer!! I would suggest that you start with the style that you like and drink the most. It will help you dial in your process because you will be more familiar with a off flavor or a certain area that you would want to improve.

How did this turn out? I will be brewing a neipa tomorrow and it will be my first time building my water from distilled.

Planning my first BIAB. A few questions.

Thanks JONNYROTTEN. I have to brew outdoors so I was thinking the cooler would hold temps better than a kettle with blankets. I will eventually move up to bigger kettle, I have been upgrading on a budget and have very limited space to store my equipment.

Planning my first BIAB. A few questions.

I have been learning alot and have been upgrading my equipment as I go. I recently starting kegging and will move from extract to BIAB next. I plan on using a 10gal igloo cooler with a bag. Miab? I have a new 8 gal mega pot that allows me to boil 6 gallons. I just have to keep a water spray...

Northern Brewer Single Reconditioned Corny Draft System

Recieved my kit late due to UPS. Keg still had pressure and was pretty clean inside. The keg looked alot better than I thought it would. When I disassembled to clean, the o-rings on the dip tubes were falling apart so I replaced all o-rings. A good start to kegging.

The craft beer bubble is busting.

Here in Va the breweries are doing very well. The smaller ones are upgrading and some are even adding second locations. Most do not serve food so the food truck business is growing. Not every brewery here has great beer but the atmosphere is such a relief from the normal bar seen. It's so nice...
