    Why do I keep making bottle bombs?

    Lol half way through this post I ran downstairs and checked to see if my bottles exploded. I almost started to re-wash my equipment. I started to inspect everything to see if I missed some spots cleaning....Thats funny, this post makes me second guess everything. LUCKY NO BOMBS HERE!!!

    plastic pop bottles

    They will be fine to re-use. If your looking to upgrade take your time and shop online (craigslist/ebay). I also got some really nice bottles from a sale at my local HB shop. I recommend grolsh bottles and swivel caps.

    Is it ok to pour priming sugar into the 2nd fermenter and bottle from there?

    I would just pour and stir. Its less work and less chance of contaimanation. After you stir the secondary you might want to wait a min depending how much sluge you still have in the wort. I like to wait a minute intel it settles back down. :mug:

    They should be perfect. I would just soak them in a cleaning solution for a couple hrs and see what that does. Make sure there is no crud or junk stuck inside the bottle.
