Anvil foundry and grains from more beer

i have been using more beer to buy my grains already milled. I have been missing my numbers by a good bit lately. I really never get above 1.060. I have tried using all the tricks they recommend except the bag because I just don't want to do biab. I'm curious on are there other brewers that...

    Sweet wine

I'll start off by saying this is first batch of wine. I've brewed beer for years and decided to get my wife into making wine. We did a wine kit from Williams brewing. Its been in secondary since December. We tried a sample today and she says it's rather sweet. Will the sweetness dye down after...

NEIPA…to brew or not to brew

used more flakes wheat than flakes oats. Maybe 2lbs of flaked wheat and .5lb of oats. That may give you the haze. I would spend a little money and get a kegerator if affordable. It was what really got me to move forward making good beer. Hash's are my fav

    Neipa no whirlpool

So I've been trying different ways to do a neipa. I taste it throughout the fermentation process. I usually will do 5oz in a whirlpool at 170 for 20 minutes a, 5oz at the end of fermentation, and 4 oz during a soft crash. In my tasting notes towards the end of fermentation before I dry hop I...

    NEIPA water Profile

I grabbed this water profile to add to a targer water profile for beer smith When I add the target water profile do i adjust the PH on the target water profile to be 5.5 for a neipa? My typical water profile for a hazy IPA usually looks something like this. Calcium (Ca2+) 119 Magnesium (Mg2+)...

    Water Profile

I'm doing a NEIPA in the morning and when i added the water profile to beer smith it shot out to add gypsum. Which I do not think is correct and it does not tell me to add any calcium chloride. I'm attaching some screen shots any help or helping me understand would be greatful :)

    Used keg issue

when I checked the dip tube it was foaming up out of the post hole when I took it off. I'm guessing I left it under pressure going through the out pole for 40 hours. Usually I do it for 24 hours at 30psi and then move it to correct post and move it to 12 psi for a few days and it's good to go...

    Used keg issue

Just got home and tried my jockey box for the hell of it. Got a glass of foam. I took off the pressure and will let it sit over night and test after work tomorrow Trying to get it carbed for a bday party this weekend

    Used keg issue

Im showing some bubles in the line so it could be that it just needs to sit at the new pressure and temp for 24 hours. I will test out after work tomorrow. I bought a new outpost on amazon just in case.

    Used keg issue

All my kegs were new in the last year or so so haven't had that happen with them while cleaning

    Used keg issue

I picked up some used kegs and the piece that is in the out post keeps falling out when I took it out to clean it. After I screw it in of coarse it doesn't move but the beer is pretty foamy. Should I replace with a new one or is a way to get it to say in the post. None of my other kegs fall...
