Actually...we're only about 15 minutes from Newport, RI: www.oceanstatehops.com! We grow Newport as one of our varieties and they did very well this year. I haven't used them personally yet, but I plan on trying some in a brew before they're all gone.

I agree - Glen that looks like an awesome couple of days. Wish it was closer so us on the east coast could make it too. There are some hop farms out this way though. I know of one in Rhode Island (not to toot my own horn...) and some in New York and Vermont. There's a pretty good sized...

Thanks! I wasn't familiar with the term Brew on Premises (BOP) equipment but that's the phrase I need to search for.

For boiling. The store that was open near me had about 8 boiling tanks so multiple people could be brewing at the same time. You ended up taking home about 15-20 gallons so the tanks were pretty large.

Looks awesome. I live in New England and have been thinking about building a warm fermentation chamber like this for the barn. When you say utility heater, is that the same as a typical space heater? My only concern is it being a fire hazard...
