Rhode Island For Sale: 1 barrel electric brewhouse, 2 barrel SS tanks

Here's a link to some pictures of the equipment. It's currently being stored in our barn as we are setting up the new brewery space: http://www.flickr.com/photos/87887683@N00/sets/72157637141172903/ The kettle also comes equipped with a hopback, forgot to mention that.

Rhode Island For Sale: 1 barrel electric brewhouse, 2 barrel SS tanks

We recently purchased a 1 barrel electric brewhouse from a nano that is upgrading. We're going to go with a bigger system and are selling this one. The system consists of a 1 barrel brewhouse with three 75 gallon steel tanks to be used as fermenters and/or brite tanks. Great system for the...

    Newport Hops?

Actually...we're only about 15 minutes from Newport, RI: www.oceanstatehops.com! We grow Newport as one of our varieties and they did very well this year. I haven't used them personally yet, but I plan on trying some in a brew before they're all gone.

Brew Class and Hop School Agenda

I agree - Glen that looks like an awesome couple of days. Wish it was closer so us on the east coast could make it too. There are some hop farms out this way though. I know of one in Rhode Island (not to toot my own horn...) and some in New York and Vermont. There's a pretty good sized...

WTB: Commercial "brew your own" equipment

Thanks! I wasn't familiar with the term Brew on Premises (BOP) equipment but that's the phrase I need to search for.

WTB: Commercial "brew your own" equipment

For boiling. The store that was open near me had about 8 boiling tanks so multiple people could be brewing at the same time. You ended up taking home about 15-20 gallons so the tanks were pretty large.

WTB: Commercial "brew your own" equipment

I'm wondering if anyone knows where I could find equipment for sale to start a commercial business so people can come and brew their own beer at my store. There used to be one near me (which is how I got into homebrewing) that closed and I'm considering opening one up. The equipment would...

    Brew warmer...comments please.

Looks awesome. I live in New England and have been thinking about building a warm fermentation chamber like this for the barn. When you say utility heater, is that the same as a typical space heater? My only concern is it being a fire hazard...

What's the name of the shop you go to in CT? I might take a drive and check them out for that price and save on shipping...

Well....I am officially a hop farmer

Hey Dan, I tried to send you a PM but it said your mailbox was full. Sorry for the off-topic post everyone.

Well....I am officially a hop farmer

I have to agree with Dan here. Our first year we started some of our rhizomes in a cold greenhouse, then put them in a cold frame, then put them in the ground. Not only was it a huge pain, the rhizomes that we bought and put straight in the ground outperformed the rhizomes we started in the...

    2009 Hop garden picture thread.

Hahaha, we were saying the exact same thing while picking over the weekend! We're going to try and rig a home-made picker also. I'll keep an eye on the GVH website to see your progress over the winter!
