I bought a variable capacity wine tank which is missing a sample valve. I'd like to order a sample valve but am unfamiliar with the size. Can anybody identify the correct size from the photos below?

Has anybody used a vinyl hose with a carb stone on the end, and simply attached it to the gas side dip tube? I ask because I don't have a lot of vertical height in my keg refrigerators, to use a carb lids, and this would be a solution.

I removed the spear and used a cutoff wheel to remove the collar. I traced a corny lid, subtracted a 1/4", cut it out w/jigsaw, flared the lip & smoothed the edge. I'll use bulkhead posts and make a diptube with stainless tubing, using a tubing bender and a tubing flare tool.

I found this brush on the internet and use it for cleaning my kegs and fermentation tanks. The bristled head is 5 in wide and the handle is 30 inches long. It makes easy work of what used to be a tedious job.
