    Got me another batch to brew

    I went to the LHBS and got me a 6.5 gal carboy and I decided to get another batch to brew. I got a robust porter this time. Not sure when i'll brew. I might brew it tomorrow. I have my current batch in the carboy for a secondary so i figure i can bottle next weekend and then transfer the new...

    That's a damn good idea. i wanted to cook on my deck but didnt want to burn my house down. i'll have to get some pavers and try it with my next batch.

    Just check my brew this morning and although there isnt much action going on in the airlock, there is a bunch of foam on the top. so i guess my bucket isnt sealed. I'll have to go get a carboy this weekend to do the secondary with. and yes, this place rocks! ;)

    LOL...yea, i have a couple hundred. but I do need to clean them good. they've been sitting for a long while.

    Since i did my brew outside last night, i was thinking maybe bugs could get in the wort so i put a lid on it covering most of it. when i cooked it inside, I never covered it. should I cover or not? will that effect the wort much?
