I want to brew a 70's style Michelob.

Back in the day we drank this as our "good" beer. It was a reliable improvment over BMC, stoh's,O's gold and all the others from our best beer store(any corner gas station). As I recall it was smooth and malty with a deep gold color, Since it can't be found I need to brew this for a reunion of...

    Tip your cap.

This is terrific summer beer. Looking to clone this. It would be very easy to down a bunch of this at the ballpark. Or a bbq. Very nice blonde ale.

    Building the beast.

Going nuts from winter and COVID, Started cleaning up the barnyard and found this. Traded a brisket for two of them 15years ago. Sold one for $100 so the price is pretty good on this one. Moved it up to the house and raided my scrap pile for 'good junk'. Did some cutting and added the...

    Backsweeting by the glass

Can I backsweeten cider by the glass by adding some thawed AJC or other to each glass? Planning to thaw and put into squeeze bottles to add to each glass, so as to add variety. Or is there some mysterious melding time they should be together? Kegged and carbed before mixing.

I'm done sweating the small stuff.

Like most these ideas involving brewing , we obsess over the details. Its not that big of a deal. I like the simpicity of serving out of the same keg. A floating dip tube helps with that. Lots of ways work. Catching some of the co2 in the keg is just a bonus. Brewing was done 5000 years ago and...

Does this make it frost brewed?

Had to replenish my supply. Pale ale with mosaic. It’s recirculating now. Best weather in a while.

    serve and ferment from keg?

I'm prepping my next brew and I want to serve out of the fermenting keg. I've trimmed the diptube 1". Built a spunding valve. What pressure do I set it at? Not doing a dry hop. Will use fermcap. I'm sure that there are things I don't know yet, but educate me. I like the sound of less labor from...

anyone remember smoked pigasus from 4hands brewing.

Got a request from some buddies to make something like this. It's been awhile but I remember liking it alot back when I discovered good beer. 4Hands rocks. So far, I've been looking at smoked porter and adding a couple pounds of rye. They're counting on me and I want to land as close as I can...
