    Just harvested yeast from a Pliny clone. My first time ever to capture yeast. I got approximately 2 mason jars full of good yeast (I think) after washing it. How about how much of this should I use when I start my yeast for my next brew?? Thanks!

    I am a rookie. Anybody ever have this happen? I brewed a Pliny clone 2 days ago. OG was 1.07, perfect. Put in fermenter, added yeast, and by next morning, she was going crazy. 71 degrees in the room. Filled air lock with Absolut. By 2nd morning, air lock was empty and the top of the fermenter...

    I just received a kit from Northern Brewer and the yeast packet cooling bag was open, and the yeast packet was hot and fully inflated. Likely it is dead?

    After a beer is finished fermenting, how critical is it that the beer remain below 75 degrees until it bottles? Will off flavors still be produced?
