hey folks - been awhile since i posted. so, looks like i've gone and knocked up the swmbo again. doc told her she's low in iron and actually told her to drink a guinness from time to time. my question is - what gives guinness its' high iron content? if possible, i'm thinking of brewing...

little problem folks. i have 2 beers in primary, and only 1 airlock. i just brewed a few days ago, so have had a blow-off tube on carboy #2. no chance at all to get to my homebrew store in the next few days. any ideas for a ghetto style airlock? my idea is to stick the end of my blowoff...

hey folks - swmbo picked me up a bottle drying tree for christmas, and i'm wondering how to sanitize it before placing sanitized bottles on it to dry out. seems like it might be a huge pain. any ideas and suggestions are appreciated. thanks!

hey all - so i have my hop harvest ale in the bottles ready to cap. i capped a dogfishhead champagne bottle fine, but now the capper is not closing properly on my 24 oz bottles. it's not squeezing the bottle cap tight nor putting the circle indentation on the caps. it's a 2-levered model...

arrived today - thanks diy! 2 cascades and 2 nuggets. i poured a nice glass of IPA then my little daughter and i got to work in the garden. psyched!
