    drank one on the 9 day mark just so I can taste the difference it was very good, I was a little tipsy last night and contemplated drinking several of them.....I have to stay strong and wait the 3 weeks, it's tough though

    they are sitting at room temp in the corner of the house, ill put them in my car for a couple hours I guess and let the sun warm them up I had one that was 3/4 filled, I just threw it in the fridge I'm gonna try just to check the progress, and so I know what beer that is opened too early...

    I bottled exactly 8 days ago and tossed in the priming sugar. I just went today to check on them, they seem incredibly flat. I don't know if you can tell if its carbonated without opening it. Should I see any signs of carbonation after 8 days?

    i think i screwed up

    I am planning on screwing up on purpose on my next few batches, just so I can see how different things effect the taste of the beer. I'm going to write down what I did wrong and what I did or didn't like about it, and eventually just take what I learn and make a super beer.

    crap, I did it with dry yeast wiki says thats no good is wiki right? also I don't think it was 100, I've done a lot of cooking in my day and have a pretty good idea of what temp to throw it in there, it was just kinda warm probably closer to 90 degrees

    before I pitched the yeast, I read somewhere on howtobrew.com some directions for preparing the yeast I boiled a little sugar in a small amount of water, cooled it to about 100 degrees and mix the yeast in, I let it sit for about 30 minutes, apparently it activates it faster I have no idea...

    lol, when I said I wouldn't have chunks in my beer, i didn't just say it, I stated it like I would die before I let anything other then liquid and gas in my bottle. I really really don't like failing, even if it is my first batch....sorry for the stress, I've never met a homebrewer that...

    I have a racking cane ok maybe this is what I don't understand if the chunks are sitting at the bottom of the primary, when I siphon it to the secondary won't the chunks just come with it? I mean am I supposed to slowly move the cane down until it reaches the "chunk" zone and then stop...

    I don't trust myself transfering into the secondary fermentor on my first batch. Its been in the primary for two weeks now I went to take a gravity ready from the spigot, and there are lots of small particles floating around in the beer, I really really do not want this stuff in my bottles...

    Buying Glass bottles in mass quantity?

    ^ I googled them and came up with nothing how much do you pay for bottles if you don't mind me asking, I realize I may not get the same price, just looking at what it could potentially cost, because I don't see a brewery in my future if it costs anywhere close to 44 cents a bottle.
