I wanna try this but I am limited to supplies. How do you keep your kettle at a constant temp for the souring ? I am pretty new so I am just using a kettle on my stovetop been brewing extract only.
Did this recipe skipped the honey also had to use a different yeast us 05 salafe
Any who Im not getting any bubbles in my airlock on day 3 of fermentation but I do have a layer of krasuen so all is well. Anyone else experience this ? Im fermenting in the mid 60s
I pitched at 79 wanted to pitch at a lower temp but got called in to work so just said to hell with it. Its been 24 hours my closet smells awesome no bubbles in airlock yet but the water shifted showing thiers pressures a brewing
Sorry for the newb question but sugar is not mentioned in the recipe I was reading 4 oz should be good which is 116 grams worth of priming sugar ?
Also I dont have a blow off is there a workaround for this ?
My directions for the recipe I followed just said to add boiling water to my priming sugar then add to wort before bottling . Well I just dumped it in then bottled will some of my beers be more carbonated than others since I didn't mix it ?
