Can anyone tell if they are Perlicks? What price would you all pay in this condition. Seller said it was working when removed from service.

    Been walking and smelled hops?

I work in a high school on a spread out campus. Have caught whiffs of the Ghanja before but today I smelled something and was like "that's not weed... smells like...hops" first thought after that was "what variety? Citrus smell, a little pine..." what a minute, what in the heck am I doing...

Is this New York law for real?

Was looking through some Kickstarter campaigns and saw one about a hop farm and they had this in the description. "New laws for NYS micro brewed beer at this point in time require 20% of hops to be sourced from NY. In 4 years this percentage rises to 60%, and in 9 years this percentages rises...

Anyone else think like I do, like "how can I use this in my setup?"

So, going into the local grocery store and I see these 3, one gallon jugs sitting by another vehicle next to the spot where I parked. My first thought was "what the sHell?" But that was pretty quickly followed by, "I bet I could use those for secondary fermenting and experiment with different...

    Show me how you drain...

Your bag- grain bag that is. Building my basement e-biab set up and installed wiring and my hood today. Besides sliding the pot over to the side, I can't figure out a good way to hook up a system to drain the grain bag ( I actually will have a bag inside a strainer pot as it is a legacy Pico...

How high can a hood be?

Hi all- Setting up my basement for an EBIAB system and found a decent exhaust hood. It can pull 220cfm on the high setting. I was running through the electrical stuff with my father in law and started talking about the hood. He said it needed to be mounted at the same height it would be in...

Splice off of an existing 30 Amp run?

Hi all- I am looking to add a 30 AMP outlet for electric brewing. I have room in my panel to run another 30 amp circuit but was also wondering if I could splice off of my existing 30 amp run for my dryer. There is a junction box for the dryer run close to where I need my new outlet to be...

    Spilled LME

Anyone ever spilled LME in the space between the stove/oven and the cabinet? I added myself to the list this morning. Man that sucked. Only lost about 1/2 a cup though- I think. On the bright side, my wife told me this afternoon that I could finally start my basement brewery build! She...

Is this guy asking too much for these keggles?

Caught this ad on CL (below). Decided I would like to take a look at them this weekend. Asked the guy if he was firm on the price ($250 for all 3), he said he was. I am thinking he is a little high. One is polished. Other 2 are not. All three already have the tops cut out. Nothing else has...

Any experience with family farms? And the legacy?

Just wondering if any members have any experience or ideas about keeping farms and land in the family. My family has a farm that has been in the family for many years. I was able to trace some of the land back to the late 1700's. Situation is tht the two uncles that now tend the farm are...

Keurig for beer? What are your thoughts?

http://www.wtop.com/?nid=1383&sid=3655370 Apparently these are airtight gallon bags that you get filled at the pub, like we do for growlers. Take it home, put it in the machine for fresh draft beer. Supposed to stay good for 30 days. Wonder how much the machine will be... And I wonder how...
