    Hop twine

I have 10 plants running along the front of my house. This year I put up 3/16" steel cable that I picked up from Lowes. You can cut and crimp it to length. I also added a spring to each line to hold the tension. I'm hoping these will last for a while. This could be an option if you plan on...

    Exploding fermenter

What yeast type was it? I've used a Belgian White Labs strain that was crazy. It would ferment almost in one day.

    Utah County Outcast outreach program

All Cascades, they seems to thrive pretty well. I met a guy in highland that had one that has been around for a while and it is very healthy. This will be for third year for mine so I plan on trying some brews with them. I will probably have plenty extra and more than happy to share will fellow...

    Utah County Outcast outreach program

Been brewing for a while in Orem. Started brewing to avoid the state liquor stores. My house is the one with the 10 hops plants in front of it.

    It's been a while..

I haven't been around the forum for a year or so, but it's good to be back. I'm currently working on a flash based brewing app that will be on my website once I have it completed. It will allow you to build recipes, mash schedules, equipment, manage inventory and ingredients, a gamut of...

    Thicker mash for IPA?

I QT to 1 LB? I don't see any benefit. A standard 1.25QT to 1 LB seems the most appropriate to me.

    How legal is underage homebrew?

I didn't start homebrewing until I was 22, after I moved BACk to Utah. The only people I hate are closed minded people. Religious preference aside, those are the only people I hate. So if you have no desire to UNDERSTAND or LEARN anything, I hate you, plain and simple. I warned you, i'm...

Thanks for your sentiment. I better not get motivated on the subject at this point. I'm drunk and happy :D

    How legal is underage homebrew?

I'm just glad I never got caught. After coming home from Iraq, I didn't show much respect for that law. enough said. But I'm in debt to homebrewing, keeps me busy, keeps me happy..that's life ;)

    Fermentation/Yeast question

No there wouldn't be any problems whatsoever... like the saying goes RDWHAHB. The only thing adding more yeast would cause would be a "little" more sediment in your fermenter, not a big deal. But I would definately check the current gravity :)

    Thank you all so much!

1/4 barrels? I would bother with anything less than 1/2. But I guess that's just me. Whatever it takes. It'd definately use 1/4's for fermenters though :)
