    Great eye, it is a white fuzzy spot with a centered dot, this could be in some small way yeast that surfaced.

    Its only a small dot of mole, but it looks like it could grow. My Wyeast was 6 month old in the refrig and appears inactive, it was a London ESB, the wort is Malty Brown Ale. I plan to re- pitch it tomorrow morning and want to know will a Whirfloc tablet help in the clarity? Man, learning the...

    Hello Stevo; I experienced the same issue with a brew, and now fermentation that is not very active. Similar conditions, a 6 month old Wyeast ( London ESW ) for a Malty Brown Ale. My question is if I pitch a dry yeast does the yeast have to be Ale yeast or could I use a baking yeast? Thx

    I kept the yeast in the refrig for over 6 months before using it in a Marty Brown Ale. Should the yeast have been in the freezer and then brought to room temperature before using. After two days I don't see any bubbling of the yeast. This way my first brew, and I know I made some mistakes...
