    Re-racking Wild Yeast Capture

It's a bit odd. I don't see much of anything in the way of a yeast cake which inclines me to think I may have found lacto or brett and the "fermentation" I'm seeing and hearing (airlock) are the bugs going wild on the sweet wort. I'll update with another pic tomorrow. Lots of foamy proto...

    Re-racking Wild Yeast Capture

I'm working on a wild yeast capture right now using wildflowers and noticed airlock activity this morning--fingers crossed it's something worth stepping up. Flying blind, how long should I wait until I rack the fermented "beer" off the yeast cake and put a batch of clean wort on top to begin...

    Anyone Try Stochasticity?

It was good, grapefruit was definitely present. Would I buy it over Enjoy By? Probably not. Then again I had a Heady Topper right before so my palate was being a snob, mostly likely.

    Fruit Beer Requiem Raspberry

I let it sit in the bottle for about a month, opened a couple days ago. Overall, a really solid brew, wish I made more. Mine turned out really sweet and juicy. The winsdor yeast I used really sucked. Carbonation was low too. This beer screams "age me in an oak barrel with lacto and brett and...

Very worth the trade. Enjoyed in central Oklahoma. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Oklahoma Only Brewers Group on the HBT!!!

Just checking in with everyone, who all is going to Prairie's Tap-Takeover at Tapwerks this Thursday? I plan to be there to try some Pirate Bomb!, Spectrum, and Bible Belt Collabo. Anyone else manage to get their hands on some Spectrum? I found one bottle at Corkscrew in Norman. Only 40...

What BIAB Efficiency Do You Get?

I'm not sure you need to do it every 15 minutes. I have my grains double ground and stir once, halfway through the mash. I consistently get 80-85% eff. If you're having some issues, I'd recommend boosting your base grain by about a pound.

    Fruit Beer Requiem Raspberry

Bottled today. Sat on raspberries for 2.5 months. Hydro sample tasted really good, although really green. I added some vanilla infused bourbon at bottling. Bottled to 2.4-2.5 vols. Going to let it sit for 10-14 days, then cold crash.

    What are you drinking now?

The granddaddy of stouts. A very complex stout, incredibly good. So glad they did another run.

Oklahoma Only Brewers Group on the HBT!!!

I picked up two at the Cellar and have four waiting for me at Broadway Wine Merchants. Debating buying more until Prairie rerelease Pirate Bomb! Later this year. Regardless, I'm still going to try to clone this beer soon.

Oklahoma Only Brewers Group on the HBT!!!

Anytime. Looks like it's dropping tomorrow in OKC. Sean's will have it, ~$65/ case. They'll have 55 cases. Really hope Vanilla Noir isn't a "one and done" like all of the rest of their rotations. I have one bottle left I'm cellaring... but it may not last long. I will be there. Hope they...

Oklahoma Only Brewers Group on the HBT!!!

They tweeted it out a couple days ago, and I set aside four bottles for myself. I believe everyone when they sing the praises of Bomb!, but they're going to have a tough time topping their recent iteration of Prairie Noir and Prairie Vanilla Noir.

Oklahoma Only Brewers Group on the HBT!!!

Just in case anyone else isn't as obsessively following Prairie Artisan Ales as I am, they are dropping their third iteration of their massively successful (and incredibly tasty) "Bomb!" next week. Broadway Wine Merchants in OKC is taking pre-orders with no bottle limit. I'd really suggest...

    What are you drinking now?

Prairie Noir (2013). Likely the best stout I've had. At $6/ 12oz bottle, I'll likely save my other bottle for a year. Wish these guys would have a regular lineup instead of constantly rotating offerings.

    What are you drinking now?

Pretty good but mouthfeel is really lacking. Was expecting something different I suppose. Can't seem to find the Rogue seasonal in OKC.

Winter Seasonal Beer Holly (Christmas Ale)

Figured I should update. I'm about six weeks from bottling, and the beer is finally coming together really, really nicely. It's amazing how much it shaped up the last two weeks, I was getting somewhat worried. This beer does really well about 50F. At cooler temps the alcohol somewhat dominates...
